Booking appointments - too many technical issues - makes matters worse.

Woeful! Absolutely Woeful. I'm in realatively healthy 40-something-year-old who thankfully has had little need to visit my GP which is good news because on the few occasions I have had to visit my GP, the service has been absolutely shocking. Today's visit was the final straw and which has prompted me to leave this damning review. So today's visit involved me arriving and checking in at the terminal for a 4:40pm appointment. I sat in the waiting area for 90 minutes until 6:10pm. When I enquired with the receptionist I was simply told the surgery was closing and I would have to make another appointment. No apology and no explanation given. On another occasion my doctor called me to say that a recent test had indicated that I had a life threatening condition. After a brief discussion it became apparent that my doctor was speaking to the wrong patient. Finally, following a minor surgical procedure in August 2016 the surgeon promised me that my GP would call me to give me the results of my procedure. It's now April 2017 and I'm still waiting. As I said, woeful, absolutely woeful and because it's the NHS, I can't do a damn thing about it.

I've had some excellent doctors here and some really truly terrible ones (one in particular, although I don't think she's there any more). I'm not someone who visits doctors often so just see whoever is available which means I've had a mix. Hard to say overall if it's a good practice or not but if you get one of the excellent docs then you're good to go I guess.
