Having felt a number of symptoms over a period of time related to the menopause and getting no help from my GP. I booked a visit to this clinic. It was the best money I have ever spent. I was greeted by Pulsar and Rachel who put me at ease and checked over my medical form details before offering tea and biscuits in a peaceful room. The Consultant (Miss Whitcroft), was highly qualified to talk about and give the best medical advice I could have. She understood clearly how and why I was getting some symptoms for the condition. Further help was given on my diet as I had been gaining weight around my middle. Weeks later I can confirm I have more energy, eat copious amounts of the right food for me and have lost weight. If you think you are entering the menopause go and visit this clinic. It will make a difference to how you cope.

I was given a preprepared booklet (obviously given to everyone) stating that I had hormone issues and polycystic ovaries... it had a list of 5 problems and she simply highlighted the issues I had. I’m 25 years old and in desperate chronic pain, I felt she just took advantage of my desperation and charged a horrendous amount. She gave me 2 grams of metformin a day!!! A crazy dosage. Did an ultrasound and said I didn’t have endometriosis... you can’t test for endo with an ultrasound! Turns out I have interstitial cystitis and I’m being treated by the amazing staff at Nuffield (just across the road) not polycystic ovaries and I am currently being referred through the NHS for possibly endometriosis. Avoid this place and whitCroft!!!!

Very unprofessional. The doctor was rather rude and unsympathetic towards my symptoms. I was experiencing very heavy periods and severe PMS, the doctor straight away diagnosed me with PCOS. There was a dispute to whether I had actually had cysts on my ovaries after viewing my scan which left me a little confused. I was prescribed hormone patches and metformin tablets, when I applied the patches to my skin I was awoken in the middle of the night with unbearable pain, especially in my head. The doctor admitted she may have been wrong to give me the patches. Since then I have been to three separate NHS doctors and they have concluded with tests that I do not have PCOS, my hormone levels are fine and strongly advised I stopped taking the medication provided by Surrey Park Clinic. I have since been taking vitamin D and starflower oil and have found that these alone have helped my PMS. Please be careful when visiting Surrey Park or better yet seek help through your GP first.

This clinic is the only place I have ever found that took the time to listen to my symptoms and diagnose. The NHS didn’t even offer me a basic hormone profile. I dread to think the quality of life I would still have if I hadn’t been lucky enough to attend The Surrey Park Clinic. Full marks!

I have been a regular client and have found the service very helpful. The nurses, staff and doctors are caring and very good at explaining complicated issues. I recommend this service to any of my friends.
