This is one of the most excellent places that every time I visited always amazed me because of the nature. The surrounding is unquestionably superb, surrounded by flowering plants. Very refreshing and sparkling space to dwell… The park is big enough to accommodate hundreds of public who desire to visit here. This is also an ideal place to calm down and get a picnic in the midst of your friends. What a great event! I without doubt go back here again.

The Westgate has been an embarrassment to Oxford for years, but seems like they're finally closing it the redevelopment. Beware, however, if you use the alternative next to the Ice Rink. Whilst it's equally pricey, the council have taken the charming decision of installing ticket machines that are not only unable to give you change, but also won't give you your money back if you cancel (and that includes notes). It caught me out, and considering as I'm forced to use this car park every week when I take my daughter skating, I'm reckoning I'm not going to be the only one to be done by this. And perhaps I've led a charmed life, but to date I've never come across a ticket machine that won't actually give you your money back if you cancel. I rang their refund line and asked why it is the machines won't return your money. The fantastic response was that they jam less if they don't give your notes back. Well they don't seem to have too many problems swallowing it... I mentioned that the ones over at the Westgate used to return your money (and amazingly in this day and age actually gave you change), so why not here? Apparently their office (where I've been forced to traipse to) is right next to the machines, so it's much more convenient for them to empty and fix them. Obviously, the real reason behind all this is that these machines are much cheaper to run & are set up to squeeze the maximum profit out of us poor punters, because if you don't have the right change and try the other options of paying by phone or card you'll find yourself paying a 'convenience fee' (maybe it's called that because you feel like you've just flushed it down one). All of this adds up rather nicely, because according to the Oxord Mail in 2013/14 the council made a £4.1 million surplus from car parking charges. A tidy little profit from anyone daft enough to take their car Oxford. If you're parking for over 2 hours at the weekend, my advice is to use the College of Further Education parking across the road (it's a flat rate of £5 for the whole day), the attendants are students being trained on work experience and the money goes straight back into their student fund.

Redicilously expensive!! No ways of interactive payment at all (by phone, debit/credit car) only cash! When calling for help/assistance on the payment machine noone answered the call. Stayed almost for 7 hours and had to pay 17.30!! And then on the ticket was printed that I paid for two days ahead, well f*cuk! I didn't want to pay ahead for another two days too, I never asked for that!! Try to avoid parking here! Oxford is beautiful and interesting with a lot to offer, but this parking house is nothing like that! Disgrace. Hope there was a RingGo parking nearby!

A confusing place and the smell of the walkways can take your breath away. Make sure you get ready and spare a few mintues for the queue to pay.
