They take the opportunity of a free service recall to charge you for things you didn't ask for or approve. I have had an ongoing complaint for a month because of this.

You should go here in dorchester my dad recently picked up a 2016 bmw x1 xdrive msport and its in amazing condition and the best person there has to be Nick Watts because he was very nice and kind :
Ten days ago I booked my 5 series in to have the boot catch replaced this morning, after they spent a whole day investigating the problem. This morning I turned up and left the car with them, only to receive a call straight afterwards to say they had not ordered the part in As a courtesy they cleaned and vacuumed the car and agreed to fit the new part later this week for free, which made things better. Then I went back to collect the car and found the service desk occupied with another couple customers. Fair enough. I waited with my increasingly fractious 2 year-old and noticed there were two other customers also waiting, and being ignored despite two guys on the sales desks doing nothing. One of these sales guys was actually scrolling through his phone while stuffing Mini Cheddars into his mouth. So I went over and asked if he had any connection to the service desk 6 feet away. I explained I just needed to collect my keys. He couldn’t help because he was sales, not service. I asked why he couldn’t help when he clearly had nothing to do, and he just stared back, mouth open, and said again that he could only help with sales. I left and walked around the forecourt with my son. Another of the customers who’d been waiting drove out and wound down his window to tell me he thought the service wasn’t good enough. Once I have this part fitted I won’t be going back again. Wish me luck.
Just a car service and M.O.T. but the reception and quality of service I received could not be faulted. Nice people.
I have purchased 3 cars over the years from this dealer, & would most definitely buy a 4th. Great service from point of sale, to any after sales issues. Had a couple of snags with my most recent car, and the sales manager made sure they were dealt with accordingly. I wanted to personally thank him, and his team. See you in a year or 2 guys. 5 star service
