Popped in for lunch and loved the place.  Great choices on the menu and a good selection of beers and wines.

Lovely place for something to eat. Great value for money, especially children's menu. Service was a bit slow but great place for something to eat.

My friend and I stayed in room number 1. It was  large and airy, and as well as a there being a fan in the room, the windows opened, which is a big plus for me as I like to be cool when I sleep. There was a separate dressing area with loads of storage, leading to the large bathroom. We enjoyed an excellent dinner, which was promptly served. I can highly recommend the lamb starter, it was cooked to perfection. YUM

The full Scottish breakfast was good, too. Even though they were short staffed, it was served cheerfully, and quickly. 

The only reason I give four stars, not five, is that there was a definite thump of live music coming from the basement. It ended before midnight, but was just audible enough to keep me awake.

I would definitely stay here again.
