Worst service imaginable. I'd mislabeled a parcel as the wrong type of package and was told I would have to pay more, which I said was fine and got my money ready. Clearly that response wasn't expected - the server attempted to berate me for another minute over it, repeating the issue despite my willingness to resolve the problem. Ended up taking my stuff to Larkfield and had no issues sorting things out there. You might as well go to one of the many other post offices nearby where the staff are actually happy to help. I'd had issues here in the past but I can no longer be bothered dealing with staff who get a kick out of being unpleasant, especially in these difficult times.
I ordered some engagement balloons and banners for a celebratory lunch. Absolute wonderful service, even being delivered to the restaurant. 10/10. Thank you again for all you help.
I don’t know what these people who have left negative reviews are going on about....I have been to this Post Office 3 times in the last month and each time, the staff were very friendly, cheerful and very helpful. People need to have a look at themselves before they criticise hard working individuals such as those who work there. And no, I do not work for the Post Office nor do I know anyone who works there, I just think these reviews needed some balance. It was a joy to visit this Post Office.
As a frequent customer at West Malling Post Office, I would have to fervently disagree with yesterday's review. Whether the staff are having to cover the party store as well as the Post Office or deal with the many varied & trying demands during the peak periods, we customers are always greeted with a friendly, welcoming service. Thanks to all the staff at my local, you are appreciated. I can't imagine the village without you.
Super helpful and friendly service whenever I have bought special stamps, and I was delighted to find out today that I could pay in cheques and take out cash: what a fantastic facility now that so many local banks have disappeared here.
I am quite amazed by some of the reviews I have read as this really isn't my experience with West Malling Post Office. I use them regularly and have always found them to be efficient, helpful and polite. Whether it is applying for car tax, passport renewal or the cheapest way to post a parcel, I have always found them excellent and friendly.
We needed to renew my husbands passport, West Malling Post Office has passport check and photograph machine on site, very simple and quick procedure by very helpfull and friendly staff, we only waited 4 working days for my husbands new passport to arrive at our house! very slick service, highly recommended.
Been to this post office several times, for party balloons, to post registered mail, parcels and for official business. The below reviews don't reflect my own experience of the place which is great. Perhaps I got lucky and avoided the ginger lady, who knows, but absolutely no complaints myself and always got what I was after.
Three members of staff at counter. One sees me coming then walks away while quite deliberately. Ignored for 5 minutes. Walked off and went to Tesco. Staff invariably rude in this PO as if they are doing you a service and they wonder why Post Offices are in decline. Will not be using in a hurry again. Most if not all the services available online or elsewhere.
I came to this branch having read the reviews, and therefore with more than a little apprehension. A few seconds of service vindicated this concern. I was served by a man who's main skill seemed to be to over complicate the very rudimentary issue in hand; and to make incorrect and ill-advised comments. Unprofessional and unacceptable as this would be in isolation, he then got up and walked away whilst I was in the process of asking a final question. This employee was obviously so offended by my presence that he could bear to communicate with me no longer. I see that the owner commonly responds to these comments, so I will no doubt receive a patronising business-speak reply along the lines of 'we are sorry you feel you didn't get good service'; 'our staff are trained to the highest standards'; and 'our employee clearly believed the transaction had been completed'. Instead of trying to get the last word, please just sort your business out.
