Good computer repair business based near Charing Cross. I looked through Google reviews, and it was rated highly - so I decided to take my computer here for repair. The case needed dusted out and cleaned up inside, there was a resetting issue computer turning off under strain which turned out to be no big deal. The components were cleaned and reconnected, the issue resolved itself. My computer is invaluable for the work I do, and also gets used heavily for music production and gaming, so with that in mind I needed a fairly quick turn around and a reliable service. I'm pleased to say West End PC Repair offered both. My only slight gripe is that I had brought my PC case in using two large, heavy duty bags. Unfortunately the first bag went missing, so the case was uncovered at the top and it was raining outside. The PC would have gotten water damaged, but fortunately I brought a friend along to help with lifting the unit and he was able to sort out a spare bag for me to cover it when walking back to the car. A second gripe would be that no receipt of services rendered was offered, this would have been nice just as a formal record of the work done. Overall happy with the service however, friendly staff and the repair was completed to a good standard with updates provided along the way via text and call. Can't fault the communication throughout the process. Happy with pricing, have nothing else to compare it against - but I would imagine it's probably the going rate and all the parts did need removed/placed back, which is clearly time consuming. Would come back here for future computer issues. - Chris :
Requested a quote from Irfan at West End PC Repair for an upgrade job on my desktop Mac that was beyond my capability. Such a genuine and polite guy. This feels like a more old-fashioned type of computer place – smaller, local, expert, got the parts, knowledge, and happy to talk. Felt like he went out of his way to provide me with great service and get the job done quickly at what I felt was a fair price. Job well done, with my thanks. I'd definitely go back here in future.
Had a battery needing replaced in my laptop, emailed and received a call very promptly. Was polite and prompt with repairing the laptop, even offered to install windows 11 as part of work. Reason for 4 stars is I felt it was quite expensive for a 10 min max repair £75, but with 20% student discount so paid £60. I would look into the work you are needing done, if it's complex job. I would highly recommend Ifran, he's a knowledgeable and polite guy. Will get the job done as soon as possible for a really great price. But if it's small work would look at possibly doing it yourself. I hadn't done any research and went ahead with the work thinking it was a lot more complex, it was literally a few screws and a connector....£75
Best PC repair place I have been to so far! I have quite an unconventional type of notebook, which means - hard to replace parts. Usually, when I needed to replace something in the past, it took literally weeks! This morning I woke up with a damaged screen and went into the shop with a fear that I won't be able to use my notebook for several days at least. But Irfan made some calls, found the closest screen to mine, went to buy it, and I was out with new screen in less than 45 minutes! Honestly don't know what more to say, except that the next time I have a technical problem I am not going anywhere else.
This is a much overdue review. A few weeks ago we brought my husband's computer in to have it reassembled. West End PC Repair did a fantastic job! We brought the parts in during the morning and they had the computer ready that evening. Top notch customer service, we highly recommend them and we will be returning to them for any computer service needs in the future.
Had a dead hard drive that wasn't backed up and I got all my data back within a week - I can actually finish my exams properly thanks to these guys! Not only quick but also communicative service that made sure I was fully aware of the process. They gave accurate deadlines and also told me about any issues that could arise during the recovery process, though happily none of said issues arose. Highly recommend!
I took my very old MacBook in as it had been slowing for years and needed a new hard drive. West End PC Repair were so helpful and had fixed it up within an hour. It is running completely smoothly now, and will hopefully last quite a few more years! They were very conscious of social distancing and I thought the price was reasonable. I just wish I had taken it to them before now!
Excellent customer service. We went as gullible as anything to get our old laptop repaired and as soon as we told him how old it was he told us not to even bother repairing it. He then took out the hard drive for us and when it didn't work to get data off he wouldn't accept any money for the time and effort and expertise he had given us. Excellent customer service and a genuinely lovely guy
I put my laptop into West End PC Repair as I was receiving an error message every time I tried to log in. They advised me that my issue could either relate to the hard drive or a corrupted outlook and, based on my needs, suggested solutions. I received a call from them that evening to advise my laptop was ready and I collected my laptop the next day. I found them to be friendly, efficient and helpful and they matched their service to suit my requirements.
My laptop wouldn't start up and the guys at West End PC Repair didn't take any payment for opening up the laptop and checking connections and advising me that it was most likely a problem with my charger. They even sourced the correct charger for me online so that I could order it. They effectively solved my problem free of charge even though I offered to pay for their time. Having dealt with other repair services in the past where diagnostics involved leaving the laptop at the shop and a price of £100 just to have a look at it with more charges if it were fixable, it was so refreshing to encounter such decent people. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as I would trust that their charges would be fair and reasonable, and that their advice would be based on the reality of the PC problem and the time/resources needed to fix it, and not on how best they could maximise their income. 10 out of 10!
