Awesome pizza, really tasty. Didn't get pics of the carvery but that was delicious too and good portion of meat. Staff were lovely but could've done with more on the bar as the queue was long and we were waiting around 15 mins to get served so next time will definitely give ordering on the app a go!
Had a lovely carvery. Just a slight delay while waiting to be shown our table. Carvery was lovely. We had fantastic help from Annie who was really attentive. Would like the chain to consider having a small carvery on weekend for older persons with smaller appetite. Overall a really enjoyable meal. Would come again
First time visit with my daughter. Lovely staff in the bar, Laura. Helped us with what was available when ordering a carvery and really helped us. Servers were always on hand if needed anything with a helpful pleasant manner. Chefs were so helpful n pleasant when getting carvery too. I'm sure he's a lovely man, but front of house manager/ staff whom showed us to our table wasn't as happy. Kinda did his job and moved on to the next job, not rude just a busy man with lots to over see I guess. Thanks, Phil
The best carvery I've had for a long, long time! Didn't think I'd have room for a sweet but had to try the apple pie - glad I did - it was delicious! Apart from the fantastic food our waitress Annie couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Already planning another visit. Thank you.
Nice pub, park park could do with the drainage sorting though as it holds water bad. My feet got soaked trying to get to the pub as the puddles was 1-2" deep. Ordered carvery on my first visit, Spot on, it was amazing. Second visit tried their pizza, also amazing. Definitely recommend here, its nothing special, like most chain pubs but definitely a place to go for a bite to eat. Staff was also very friendly and pleasant.
As a frequent visitor of The West Bulls, we’ve tried the carvery, main menu and the unlimited breakfast too and I must say we’ve never had a bad meal, or bad service! The atmosphere is always great, the food is always lovely and hot, and the service is always super friendly, with a special mention to Lee, a really friendly guy who was extremely helpful on our last visit! Friendly staff and reasonable prices, but I was disappointed with the festive menu. Basically what I thought was going to be a Christmas dinner was just a bog standard carvery. Adding pigs in blankets and parsnips would have made all the difference. My wife's cheeseburger was tasteless and the chips weren't piping hot. The beer menu seemed limited as there was not any handpull beer, and the IPA was bland. Service was efficient and quick, and the pizzas looked excellent, I would like to try a takeaway at some point.
West Bulls, Cottingham, provides an excellent value carvery. The meats were lean and tasty, and the superb selection of vegetables were plentiful, well cooked and extremely hot. Laura took our order and served our drinks with speed and a smile. We will definitely return!
Had a lovely meal at west bulls this evening. Our server Annie, she’s served us a few times whilst we’ve been here, always greeting us with a smile and is willing to go above and beyond for us as customers. Well and truly is a credit to your business
We came on a Sunday so it was busy for the carvery. The mashed potatoes were cold, The service was slow, the staff seemed very inexperienced with nobody taking charge. There didn't seem to be anybody leading the kitchen as there were lots of bodies moving about but nobody communicating with each other or working together. Some of the floor staff are polite and helpful but some just seemed rude and didn't want to be there. Overall apart from the mash the food was decent but the service and whole experience wasnt good. The place needs someone managing the shift properly. Also the venue itself was boiling and they didn't have any windows open or the air conditioning on. We asked if we could take any of the food we hadn't eaten home with us in a takeaway box as they do takeaways through just eat. We were told we can't take any food off the premises as its against the company policy even though we had already paid for it. The prices are around the same as any other carvery in and around hull so I would suggest anyone to try a different carvery if they want a good experience.
