Absolutely love this place. Always get the munch box. Excellent value for money. And the salt and pepper chicken is a must have. Only thing I would say is a let down, are the chips. They are never cooked enough
Flaverless food, greasy chips complete waste of money 2 full meals with a side order cost £24.00 almost all of it ended up in the bin. Such a shame this place has been recommended to me many times but I won't go again.
Tried for the 1st time tonight usually use another nearby but soo glad we did the Singapore chow mein was fantastic, can't wait to try different dishes, highly recommended
Popped in for food last night and there was only 1 customer in so I thought this won’t take long but how wrong I was. There were 2 guys cooking 1 lady rushed off her feet and 3 young girls. One of the young girls, a blonde girl seemed to have a right attitude as the guy cooking and I heard a sarcastic response from her towards him saying I know you want noodles god you can wait. Whilst standing waiting a customer was given their order and he questioned where the sauce was for his dish causing him further delay and his dish had to sit in the bag sweating whilst the sauce was made up. Also while waiting the same blonde girl noticed a bug on a chopping board which caused interest from another young girl and she poked at a knife on a chopping board and said bug must have gone airborne as the two of them were looking into the air. This Chinese has the bug zappers that light up blue but they weren’t even on. The final straw for me was when I got home and order was wrong and when I called to say I was made to feel stupid by the girl who answered. My order was £18 and I ordered 2 lots of spring rolls for an extra £7 and according to the board and as asked when in the shop they come as a three so I expected 6 in total but got 2 and was charged £6.70 for two individual spring rolls. The food was really greasy and of a poor quality too. Won’t be returning!
I have ordered from Regents numerous times over the last few years but since I was diagnosed Coeliac I haven't had a takeaway. On a whim I thought I'd call and see if they offered Gluten Free choices and I was delighted to not only hear they did but I was reassured that nothing was cross contaminated either. I have just enjoyed my first GF Chinese takeaway and it will not be the last. I have had no reactions I react pretty quickly to gluten and it was tasty and enjoyable.
Consistently great food and service. My first choice takeaway by far. Crispy chicken Hong Kong style is out of this world and the Singapore fried rice is pretty special.
Really good food here well worth a visit
Hands down the best Chinese takeaway I've had. The food is fantastic every single time and Mary and her team work so hard getting everything right, nothing is ever too much trouble. The kids love coming in as well to look at the plants and the dragons especially when they get free new year calendars : Thanks Mary.
Visited this takeaway after two recommendations from friends. The menu has a great choice of dishes with some available in small portions. There is also some specials available at certain times of the day /week. We went for two curry dishes, one full sized & one small sized. Side dishes are extra cost, not a part of the main dish We had chips & rice so we could spilt them at home. Overall the meal was very nice, hot & tasty. Will visit again :
This was our regular Saturday night takeaway treat. Just phoned to make our regular order of a £16 munch box to be told that they aren’t prepared to do one for us as the shop is too busy. The munch box consists of things you would expect cook quickly or on a busy night they have prepared and cooked ready to go chips and noodles etc Sorry Regent, not good enough. You’ve lost a regular customer.
