Good for little ones and in-between sizes. Changing cubicles and lockers drastically need updating. But nice and clean lots of parking and there's a wet room and pod poolside for disabled people to enter and exit
I've been coming here weekly for swimming lessons and can't fault the place or the swimming coaches. The changing rooms are well laid out, clean, and the showers warm enough. The pool is a good temperature. Love that no outdoor shoes are allowed in the changing area as it keeps it much cleaner. Our running club - Elswick Harriers, have also started using the track & field facilities on a Saturday morning and the staff are so helpful. It's a pleasure to work with them all. They are generally all invested in people enjoying the facilities.
Fantastic venue, had my sons birthday party at the bowling alley. Had 15 little ones and the hosted us amazingly.nThe food and service was absolutely great and the kids all had a blast bowling. A big thanks to the team that where there today and welcoming us all.nDefinitely reccomend this place.
Friendly staff, good-sized pool, and smaller, shallower studio pool for younger children who are less confident in water. The gym is a fantastic size. Unfortunately, a few things let this place down. Firstly, it is now incredibly expensive to join - more than some private gyms! This discourages locals on a low income from joining, which is a real shame. Secondly, the water is freezing, which makes accessibility for some SEN children and adults very difficult. The changing area can get quite dirty. Piles of hair on the shower floor are pretty horrible to see! It would be better if the changing areas and showers were cleaned more regularly.nThe showers are not hot during busy times - just warm.
Just stopped for a comfort break on our return Coach holiday. The toilets were ok but the leisure centre coffee shop was closed so most of our stop was just a waste of time
