Room clean enough. No space to move round the room with 3 single beds in it. Very hot, blinds didn’t block out the sun. No information given on check in. Just asked to pay & given card with room number written on it. No advice about food, check out etc. got info from website. Fire alarm went off before we’d left the room. So that hurried everyone along. Checked out, left the card on the bar, at 10am & cleaner said “are you room 22? I can clean it now!” Check out was 10:30. Nothing else was said?! Bizarre!
The rooms are above a bar/pub so it is not ideal if you are travelling for work. No restaurant or breakfast option. I stayed for a night when travelling through the area in early hours and needed a place to rest for a few hours. * Was asked to pay security deposit to cover for any damage I may cause while I stayed there.
I have stayed here a few times and the reason that we keep coming back is how lovely and friendly the staff are. As well as how clean everything is! If you want a good night's sleep then absolutely stay here. Fantastically consistent customer service and hospitality, thank you.Rooms: 5/5
Really good value for money, a bit basic but if you are on your way somewhere and need to stay the night it’s perfect. Staff were very helpful too. Rooms were clean and had tea and on-suite.
The family room was small. Fire alarm test went off we no warnings. On the day of checking out the chamber maid came in before we had checked out to do the room was still sleeping. Beds are like boards. Pillows are like papper. No were to hang clothes shower was blocked If you just want to lie your head and go this is the place
I have visited the Wendover Arms Hotel on many occasion's and have always had a fantastic experience, the staff always go above and beyond for its clients, they are all super friendly and nothing is too much of an ask. The rooms are spotless and great value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel or their other hotel on the other side of town called the Buckingham hotel. High Wycombe has many great hotels but this one tops the list for me.
Clean. Tidy. Basic. Some small rooms. Generally not bad! Update. Expansion underway. Another 18 rooms! My only complaint is noise from inconsiderate trades people. Having worked a long hard day, the last thing I want is idiots, who have no consideration for others, running up and down corridors shouting and banging doors. The rooms are not sound proofed! The owners really need to lay the rules down and warn all occupants to respect their neighbours! I do wish the owners well and every success with their expansion but they need to clamp down on the above problem. I have stayed there many times in the past but would not like a repeat of my latest!
It was okay for the money. We stayed as 3 friends in a family room. Whilst It was basic it was clean and tidy but the beds were pretty hard. The shower was good. But the overall hotel had a very strong smell of cooking and Indian food which you could smell even on the bedding. There are 2 Cockerells in a garden near by which you could hear all night We stayed here for pub in the park in marlow and was a £10 taxi ride away. Overall it was ok, for the money we paid it was how we probably expected it.
No lock on door which led to cleaner entering at 4pm, ground floor room facing main entrance which was very loud with guests of pub drinking and playing music until 11pm walking past and leaving beer bottle on the outside windowsills, had to eventually close windows, even with the windows opened the room was so hot we had to buy our own fan as hotel didn't provide even after asking, small room which was difficult to move around in. Will not stay again as really not worth the price
Small rooms, dis not received an extra pillow, if you do not register your car on the first 10 minutes of arrival you will get a fine. The kitchen is quite limited. What saves this hotel is the location. Beautiful location
