Absolute disgrace of a doctors surgery. My partner has just waited weeks for a doctors appointment for something he needs to be seen for quite urgently! He has been sat waiting by his phone the entire day! His appointment was between 9-1 and the doctor calls as close to 1 as possible while he was in the bathroom! The doctor didn't bother calling him back! Called the doctors surgery and he's not allowed to be seen today he has to call at 8:30 in the morning. Let's hope he gets an appointment then shall we because everytime we have called we don't get one there either! This is disgusting!
Unbelievable. You must record your on call when you try take an appointment. This is my second time when i am making an appointment and when i go there instead of monday is actually friday .Feel worse and worse in last couple months and nothing changes. Nobody seems to really care , and the there are only 1 or 2 doctors who are really trying to involve . The same with my wife . After reding the rest of reviews seems i am not the only one.Who is in charge of this place should be question about what is happening .
Absolutely terrible practice that jeopardises health and offers no support to it's patients. When I transferred over to this practice a few years ago they lost my medical recordswhich detailed some very serious conditions that I had. When I then talked to one of their GPs about condition they should have been aware about they gave me a blank face. Had to go through that whole process again of being diagnosed even though I knew I had the condition for 5+ years. More recently I had to go to A&E with severe symptoms one night and was told to contact my GP practice for medication. I phoned 3 weeks ago and was told I was booked an appointment in 2 weeks time. I phone 2 weeks later and alas! No blooming appointment there. Now I've been trying to phone them for the past 45 minutes to book an on the day appointment; and their line is busy. I've tried around 30 times now. I'm considering changing practices because this is getting beyond ridiculous at this point.
The GP's on the whole are/were good! Since covid GP's have went into hiding!!even getting a telephone consultation which is less than satisfactory! Is almost impossible! Start phoning at 8.30 1 hour later still trying to get through! Eventually get through and someone hang up on you! To start process all over again! Then depending on who receptionist they are very cheeky! And tell you that you have to call at 8.30???? The surgery is nothing short of a disgrace!!
This practice is awful cant get passed reception to speak to a doctor they are so rude
THIS PRACTICE IS A REAL DISGRACE In whole my life I have never experienced a doctors practice that was so badly organised and so badly run. They don't have any clue what they're doing. When calling for a doctors appointment you can't get past the receptionist who wants to know everything but doesn't give an appointment at the end because she feels that the problem can be solved in a pharmacy. Ultimately I went to A&E at Wishaw hospital where they DID help me and they even kept me 2 days for a diversity of test. Now when I need just a simple prescription for something that I use already 43 years, and no doctor ever had a problem with it to prescribe.... Now I have to make an appointment with the GP. It's just appalling because above that.... the receptionist said that there is no appointment available for the first 14 days, and .... I can't make the appointment even because I have to call back for that the following day. . ... and all this hassle for a simple cream for my psoriasis .that I have already since my childhood.
The reception staff are always pleasant professional and helpful. Appointments are available relatively quickly, and the surgery provide a range of physical and telephone consultations with a named GP. My husband has always had excellent care here
Not impressed at how the receptionist treated my 82 year old Aunt. Hope she is pleased at causing an old lady to cry! Also, hospital letter was filed and not acted upon, so more worry and stress trying to get the prescription she was told to get sorted out. No way to treat any one regardless of age...
The staff are a credit to you, working in the toughest conditions during the Covid crisis the receptionists, nurses and GP's alike have continued to be exceptional when looking after me and my family, its been a hard year for lots of reasons and huge pressures for you, well done and keep up the great work, Thank you.
My 14 year old son took his life 10 days after a truly disastrous visit to wellhall medical centre where he was failed repeatedly by the drastic failings of the receptionists the people booking appointments and a horribly disinterested and ill-informed Dr. Their practices following that horrible appointment and my son's death continued to highlight their lack of basic fundamental medical knowledge as well as their lack of any genuine capacity to care. 3 out of 4 of complaints I lodged with the ombudsmen following my sons death were upheld and the report is available to the public. The last point was only not upheld because the practice admitted their failings earlier in the complaints process. They have sadly made no meaningful efforts to learn from this experience, even failing to complete a significant event analysis investigation as required by NHS. DANGEROUSLY UNCARING AND ILL-INFORMED STAFF
