The team at Well Street are always incredibly friendly & helpful. Yes, you have to call on the day for an appointment but I can honestly say each time I have the reception team have always done their absolute best to get me or my family members in throughout the day. The doctors are always thorough and respectful, they listen to you and don’t make you feel rushed or another number! Having moved from another local surgery with questionable processes I feel lucky to be with Well Street.
It's a good medical centre with great staff, and you're not waiting too long for a medical professional to see you. None of these are picture perfect for everyone tho
They tell you to phone on the day at 08.00. To get an appointment. I was dot on time, explaining I had an appointment with the nurse at 08.40, and I need an appointment so I can do both. I was 3rd in the queue at 08.00 and was told no appointments till 14.00? I phoned on Friday and wasn’t allowed to speak to a doctor. I explained I’m in agony and was told phone back next week! Like trying to get a letter off God!
Why oh why have they changed their appointment system. I always praised my doctors surgery to friends and colleagues. From the professional expertise, not only the doctors but also the nursing staff. The receptionists were always friendly and helpfulnHowever, it took me over half an hour to get through the other day just to book a flu vaccination. I had called the week before, on my day off, and queued at th⁶e desk for 15 minutes. Only to be told that there were no appointments left and the next diary sheet was not available.nI worry about the future.
