Compared to many service stations it is clean and well kept . The exit and entry to and from the motorway could do with repairing due to pot holes. As with all service stations prices are hugely inflated. Overall not the worst place to stop
Always stop here. Car parks fine they have charging station, disabled and. Parent and child bays. Everytime we have been always clean and tidy. Nice little gift shop with biscuits/clothing/fridge magnets etc. Always clean and tidy. Nice little areas outside.
Typical food and drink outlets available. I stopped at the Starbucks, which gave terrible customer service. Not a bad stop off location, between Scotland and England.
Its a pretty standard service station. Toilets are clean, food & fuel are expensive.
One disabled toilet which isn't big enough for a manual chair to turn never mind a power chair and which is expected to be shared with baby changing and so is full of nappy bins. Pitiful provision for the footfall. Not at all impressed. On the plus side, while worn and tatty it was clean, with soap and hot water. I'd gladly pay if the facilities were better.
Clean service station with Waitrose, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King amongst other offerings. Sufficient seating but parking can be a challenge on busy days. The Tesla charging station definitely needs more stalls, as there was quite a queue when we last visited.
The services themselves are quite nice, spacious and a fair selection of stores. We called in specifically to use 'THE GOOD BREAKFAST' and we were provided with something pretty close to that; however, the thing that would put me off going again and the reason for the 2 stars was the horrendous attitude of the woman taking the order behind the counter of said restaurant. I heard her being rude to the gentleman in front of me but assumed perhaps he had done something to warrant such an impertinent response. I soon found out that he probably hadn't done anything at all and that we had both just had the misfortune of running into one of those people that should never be in a position of dealing with the general public. We ordered 2 breakfasts, and asked for one to have no eggs and the other to have no beans...we didn't ask for substitutes or anything difficult, we didn't order any extra items, we just asked for one thing to be left off each plate. Her response was 'look, you can see there's a queue, we are very busy so the breakfasts come as they come'. We we're a little stunned for a second but we had to explain & push for our request to be met as neither of us could have eaten anything else on the plate if the items we wanted leaving off were present. After a huff and a mutter she put our order through and we were instructed to sit down and we would be called when our order was ready. Now, I could have perhaps understood this attitude a little more if the restaurant was busy and she was under some level of pressure, but there were plenty of empty tables to choose from, the queue she mentioned was 4 people long - including ourselves at that point in time and the other staff appeared to be coping with their workload in a perfectly pleasant and professional manner so I can't find an excuse for her brazen lack of customer service skills. Very disappointing when everything else was fine.
We got there first light so yes toilets were cleaned and soap toilet roll was all there. Staff about too. We didn't eat but what was open would have been for breakfast
KFC and Starbucks, so much better than a Gregg's and a machine Costa, so if you're going up to Scotland this is the place to stop and refresh. Clean toilets and lovely gift shop, if a little overpriced.
Our goto spot for lunch whenever we are going to Scotland, great choice of food and we love the gift shop, it's a small taste of things to come.
