First met Julian at a seminar over 5 years ago, his friendly and approachable attitude convinced me to have Wealth Matters review my finances.   During those first few meetings Julian and his staff were very helpful in making sure we understood every aspect of what was being discussed.   My wife and I recently had a meeting with Jo and her colleagues to discuss our finances and I have to say 5 years on and the level of service is still excellent and extremely professional.  I have no hesitation in recommending Wealth Matters.

For more than ten years, Julian Gilbert and his Wealth Matters team have been looking after our finances. Having met Julian at a business networking group, it took an initial leap of faith to trust that Wealth Matters would be able to do all that Julian said it could do. The value of that leap of faith has - so far at least - been ably proven. It was a bonus to discover, later, that Julian and I had attended the same school though not at the same time. It also helped to discover that we had mutual interests - notably a love of cricket. Having taken our finances in hand, Julian and his team have worked wonders. Despite market fluctuations over that time - notably around 2008 - we've seen impressive returns from the strategy that the Wealth Matters team have employed. Moreover, they were able to do the same for my now late mother's finances - notably preserving her wealth in the face of mounting care costs. We've always found their attitude to be highly professional. Time and again, they've demonstrated their competence. They're also friendly and approachable and always ready to help with any finance-related issue. Without doubt, Wealth Matters is the most able independent financial adviser firm we've come across and with which we have worked.

I have been making investments with Wealthmatters for four years. Following an initial introduction to a representative of Wealthmatters I followed a structured process set up by Wealthmatters to determine my investment requirements. This involved completing a fact finding document followed by Wealthmatters issuing a report making investment  recommendations to suit my requirements. I found this work process to be very useful as whilst following the process I learnt about several investment options available to me. I made a series of investments following Wealthmatters over a period of time as several of my fixed term investments matured. Since making the investments I have had annual meetings with a representative of Wealthmatters during which I discussed any changes to my circumstances and my future investment and pension decisions.   This process is very useful as before the meetings I update a survey, which summarises my current investments and future goals. Whilst completing this survey I am reminded of any future financial decisions that I need to make and during the meetings i am able to discuss the options available. I have found the structures investment process that Wealthmatters follow to be very effective as it increases the potential for making good  investment decisions as my circumstances change.

Since Julian became our IFA some 10 years or so ago he has immeasurably improved our finances to the stage where we are becoming financially independent. Without this help we certainly wouldn't be in the great position we are. Big thank you to Julian, but also the rest of the Wealth Matters team
