Watford Junction Station is served by the Lioness line, Avanti West Coast, West Midland trains and Southern trains. This station is a extremely busy train station with lots of passengers interchanging from different trains and leaving and entering the station. The ticket hall area is a small but wide size however there is only like 5 ticket barriers to use and when you have hundreds of passengers trying to use the ticket barriers at the same time it can be a bit of a wait. The station has toilets and drink and food shops there are lifts available to the platforms. All the platforms here are long with lots of space the station was clean and tidy but could do with a upgrade for the ticket hall area to make it bigger and more room for passengers. There is plenty of staff around here to help if you ever need assistance.
Been there after long time and found it as it was in past nothing change. Easy and fast connection for London, East Croydon, Birmingham and Tring. Even you can get Sleeper for Edinburgh & Glasgow.nMany companies giving you service from this station such as Avanti West Coast, West Midland Railway, Caledonian Sleeper, Southern and Overground. Quick connection from London Euston to the Harry Potter Tour at Warner Studios. Many shuttle buses leave directly in front of the station. Even get more buses connection in front of station.nThis station has cafe & toilets inside, shopping mall at hardly 10 mins walk as well as town centre making this station location very convenient.
Busy station with a large carpark, Don't think £7 to park all day on a sunday was unreasonable, regular services to Wembley/London sorted us out. The staff were all helpful and friendly
Good size station. Looks nice on the outside with buses outside and the bus to Harry Potter too. Shops and toilets inside.
Well now. This is a station from the past.nnNever used to use it that much, except to go on that strange little shuttle train that runs to St Albans. That isolated little platform over the far side of the station, down a desolate little alleyway, it felt like another world.nnNever without drama that journey. From marauding youths causing chaos to being randomly asked for money every time. That’s Watford really though, isn’t it.nnRegular trains to London but best known as the untimetabled stopping point for numerous Avanti trains. A gamble though, otherwise it’s Euston or Milton Keynes for you…nnGlimpsed these days from the safety of a passing train window. The past is, as someone learned once said, a foreign country. As with memories so with foreign countries; some you want to visit, some you do not.nnThe station itself is about 10 minutes from the town centre. The walk offers time enough to reconsider your choices. Did you really want to visit here?nnThere used to be a Wimpy Chicken in the main station. That’s long gone these days though.
