Excellent store with lots of books, very beautifully presented. Evokes a deeps 90's feeling of what a book store used to be. Hours of browsing, meeting friends or just sitting on the sofa and reading a good book. The staff are friendly and not in your face, a handy cafe on the first floor over looking the store front adds to the excellent location. Highly recommended to all.

If you love books you'll love Waterstones in Gloucester. Ok so they are part of a chain but for them this is a good thing as this enables them to carry a large and diverse stock, but the staff are where they shine as you could be forgiven for thinking it's a small independent as they are knowledgeable and have taken time to get to know the regular customers. What makes it even better is you can get a great cup of coffee and a cake too.

If you love books, you love this place. Very friendly, very helpful staff, I got some great ideas for new books and a new direction in reading. First class, and they have lovely gifts and games.

I love book shops and Waterstones is about the best. I visit them whichever town I am in and they are pretty much laid out the same.
