Seen plenty of bad reviews here but I've never had an issue with them. Sometimes long wait times to get seen but that's across the whole NHS not just this surgery. Friendly, local and I'm in and out really quickly.
Would love to give a zero but unfortunately can't give a zero, reception staff should not need to know personal health issues that's why they are not medically trained and that why they don't do medical education for years that is a doctor's job or GP's job.... Pointless asking for a gp if receptionist staff think they know better , worst place I have ever been sadly I moved from a lovely parctise I am contacting head of NHS to express how badly and lack of care this surgery has
Incompetent administration and receptionists. Booked in for my appointment with receptionist telling them my name, which doctor i was there to see and at what time. Allowed to wait in an empty waiting room for what I thought was a busy doctor for an hour. When the receptionist finally returned, and I questioned why I was having to wait so long when they appeared so quiet, receptionist finally realised that she'd made a mistake and that the doctor I was supposed to be seeing was not even on site. I was told the doctor would call me straight away........ They didn't. Waste of time.
I ran out if ventolin inhalers, was on hold was 35 mins and the 'navigator' could not help. Disgusting
It's a nightmare to get through to a human being on the phone, doctors forget about you and your health issues, half of the time they Google your symptoms. I couldn't believe it when I first saw it.
I phoned up to book an appointment this morning approx. 8.20am and I spoke to Yvonne on reception, after no time at all on hold. I had had trouble booking an appointment online and so phoned in instead. Yvonne was friendly and helpful and booked me an appointment all whilst maintaining an upbeat and chatty demeanour. She then offered to walk me through booking an appointment online so I would know for future reference. This was very helpful as I did not really want to have to bother them unnecessarily given the current covid situation as I understand the NHS must be very very busy. I was very happy with my interaction this morning and just thought a bit of positive feedback on here was needed. :
Would rate zero stars if I could, everytime I have to contact them, it takes about an hour on hold, only to be greeted by exceptionally rude and disinterested "care navigators". They have lost all records of my daughter having asthma, I am still waiting for a response from them after over a month, with reference to her vaccinations and today they put the phone down on me mid sentence. Avoid if you can!
I have had to move surgerys just so i can get an appointment for a smear test after trying for 4 months...you can never get through to the surgery and when i have been in personally to try i am always told that there are no available appointments for smear tests. Considering the importance of them and the big notice board that you have in the surgery telling woman to have them and the campaign's that remind women to have them, i thought maybe you may make it a little easier to actually have one. After joining a new surgery today they have managed to get me one straight away. Such a shame as the surgery was good many years ago its certainly not now.
Be ready to wait 6 months for a face to face appointment. Be aware that the receptionists will put you off as much as possible, up to and including completely ignoring advice from NHS Helpline, and sarcastically questioning the severity of your condition, based on incomplete information. You will have to justify your medical history to the receptionist before being listened to; if your phone call ever gets answered and if they then don't disconnect you after you get through. Don't bother giving them any changes to your details; in person, over the phone, in writing, multiple attempts three months later they won't have updated it. Don't bother with the prescription medication delivery service, three months later they'll still have 'forgotten' to save your info. Lastly, don't expect to be taken seriously or listened to by the tiny handful of doctors they still have left. Most of the doctors jumped ship months ago. I'm desperately waiting for some other surgery - any other surgery! - to have the spaces for us to join.
Great service, been attempting to book a gp appoint since may 2020. Everytime i call. Go in person. I get informed to come back a frw months layer. Today i receive a rude receptionist whom advises me to attempt to make a appointment via willow groups online access... With rude and uncaring composure. I was spoken to with rude services with shrugged shoulders and hand waving. Not impressed. 2 month's later have been told at the the front desk, that i must apply online for a gp appoint. Even thought she told me that she's able to do it in person. But it takes 20 minutes. Will give support to the elderly but not a, 28 Yr old Ageist !!!
