Not sure what has happened in a week! Last week 8/04/18 was great, but this week No Beef or Pork on the roast menu! Trio has turned into Uno! Then to top it off no Green King IPA. How do they forget to order their own brand of ale at its own pub! Seems like something wrong with management to me!

Reasonably priced food. Had to ask for table to be cleaned again as sticky. Family atmosphere for a Sunday night.

Not impressed with our visit. Long wait for table, even though pub not that busy. Food tasted nice, but was not hot when it eventually arrived.

We went to the Watermill for a family lunch today. We hadn’t booked but that was no problem. As a party of 6, including 3 vegetarians, we were very impressed by the range of options available on the main menu. We chose to sit in the bar area rather than the restaurant, so that we could enjoy the view of Box Hill. Staff were attentive and our food was served promptly. Everyone enjoyed their choice and cleared their plates!! Desserts were generously sized and good value for money. Thank you to the staff for a lovely experience. Excellent service and excellent food. We’ll be back very soon!

Really enjoy the roasts here, was suprised to see ratings under 5 stars, as every time we have been here (including christmas day) the food, service and atmosphere has been excellent. I particually like the roast beef. I guess it comes down to how traditional you are about your roast dinners, mine is good quality meat, i get really fussy about wedges of fat that i have to cut out/off and then end up with barely any meat. A good selection of about 3 to 4 different veg, crispy roast potatoes, a massive or 2 smaller yorkshires and a nice rich gravy. If that sounds good to you, this is the place to go because the food is excellent and doesnt break the bank. You can travel further up the road and choose one of the other restaurants that will charge you triple because they will have included some fancy herb in the gravy, or put a truffle dressing on a side salad but personally its not worth the money so if you want to treat the family to a sunday roast out, and not have to do the washing up, maybe have a little drink instead then this is the place in Dorking to go!
