Got stuck in the snow in March 2018 and found this place. Very helpful and friendly. Prices were good. If ever we pass that way again I would have no hesitation in popping in.

Stopped here for something to eat by mistake. The food was basic but ok as you would expect with a Marston's but the lack of ingredients in the kitchen drastically reduced the options however, made a selection with what was left. Meal arrived with further missing item and when raised with the waitress faced a rather rude response snapping "I told you we didn't have everything".

Friendly atmosphere in this pub/restaurant. Good food with large choice. However the tables and menus could have done with a good clean as there was food stuck to them.

I was surprised how early the kitchen closed but it was quite pleasant. I thought the menu could have been a bit more adventurous.

We went there lunchtime Wednesday. I've never known such a rude and unfriendly person serving . She said are you trying to catch my attention... I'd have got to you eventually. She shouted at large party to not sit there "move as you are in our way". Though the nice waitress had seated them there. It took for ever to be served though very few people were there at the time. My lettuce was brown on the edges..my partner was later very sick. I will never never return. The woman ( from way she talked down to everyone) could be a manager, should be sent on a customer service course or sacked.
