Extremely friendly welcome from there landlord who remained warm and helpful throughout. Hotel is very cosy with charm and character. We were a 4 person family (all adults) so had a small 'wing' with 3 rooms and a shared bathroom. There was also a lovely guest lounge in which we sat and had tea. The beds were very comfy and I slept extremely well. The hotel is a little dated but most of the important features are up two date. TV in the room was laughable small but we never used it anyway and the one in the lounge was much bigger. Breakfast was served a little earlier for us as my sister had to get away early. Again, nothing was too much trouble. We all had different things for breakfast but it was all excellent and cooked to order. Considering how cheap it was, I was very impressed with the quality of the whole stay. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the food lovely to see a pub with no dogs in it where there's food there should not be animals

Not stayed here. Food is good , plentiful and wholesome. The belly pork is the best I have eaten ANYWHERE. I go there for that reason. Good country pub

4 of us stayed in the suite/wing (2 x twin rooms, 1 x single, sharing a family bathroom) whilst visiting family in the area. Comfy beds, clean rooms, great breakfast, really friendly staff, and all at a batgain price. Really glad we chose this hotel and would definitely stay again.
