What a wonderful unique experience! We had a warm welcome by the lady owner on arrival. The entry was great value with the option to purchase a full feeding bucket for the animals in the sanctuary. We went straight to the 'petting' area where we were offered a seat and given a beautiful homemade blanket for our laps. The gentleman owner was very kind and friendly offering so many animals to pet it was hard for me to choose. I held a baby rabbit and then a chick in a knitted holder sleeve and didn't want to give it back. My Partner held 2 baby Guinea pigs that were only 8 weeks old. Please see pic. So cute. I also enjoyed giving the chipmunk and hamsters sunflower sees through their cages. We both loved the layout outside which used the natural dip of the landscape to create ponds for the waterfowl. We saw lots of bird varieties we had never seen before. On leaving we found nice things to buy in the shop area including some amazingly creative woollen hats for sale which were really good value.(below £4) In summary, we are looking forward to spending more time at this amazing family run enterprise and their passion for animal welfare.

Returned again today with my 2 daughter's and had a great time. The staff are attentive and make the whole experience very relaxing and personal which is great. We spent approx 20 minutes with a member of staff who took the time to help my daughters hold 4 different types of animal which both kids loved! £20 entry for a family of 4 (including the purchase of food for the animals) was very reasonable as we spent nearly 2 hours here and the whole family had fun. The owners are very welcoming, patient and caring and I will be returning again.

When we 1st arrived, the lady was very rude, shouting at my 4 year old and making her cry for winding up a small jumping chick (a polite conversation is all that was needed). We then went round and had to do a lot of rat dodging!! We counted at least 15! Pens are all overgrown with stinging nettles and generally run down. Hand sanitizers were empty and looked a health hazard themselves. Viewing platform has been condemned and pathways are uneven and not maintained. The children's play area has a selection of old, mouldy, sun bleached toys and the ground is again very uneven and covered in holes (made by rats?). Daughter tripped over and winded herself here. The kids did however enjoy holding and stroking the animals, which warrants the one star given.
