This was a brilliant station for both arrival and departure, with a slick blue design that comes across as modern too! Shelters are fully sufficient for waiting, platforms are appropriately sized for trains and departure boards are kept up to date. Underground subway links the platforms properly, station layout and cleanliness are solid too!
Ticket office is always closed and the collection point on platform 1 is broken so there is no way to collect tickets. Complete shambles. I’d love to know if they ever plan to finish the construction works or is it now just a permanent fixture to the train station?
Tip: bring your own refreshments!nnGood location in central Warwick but the station is tired. Currently under some sort of construction.nCafe no longer there so bring your own refreshments.nPlatform 1 dot matrix sign half works... Unfortunately the half that tells you which train is coming.nHopefully it'll be invested in and brought up to modern standards.
An absolute shambles of a station. Building work that's caused disruption for months on end and I'm yet to see construction people here. A handful of parking spaces, a ticket collection machine that doesn't work, no coffee shop or even a machine for hot drinks and today a diversion of approx 10 minutes walk to get on to platform two, resulting in people missing their train!
Two stars as the Subway has reopened to Platform 2 to London.nMaintenance works fails at directional signage so when they close the subway and moved the Ticket collection machine for the entire station to Platform 1 there’s no signage to help you at the earliest junctions.nnNo refreshments or toilets at all.nHelp yourself to tourist leaflets on a table in the empty office.
