We hired the paddock/stables for a big party for our 10th anniversary and it was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful site that made for a gorgeous backdrop for photos. People were really bowled over. Friendly staff who helped with everything And were super relaxed. Also incredibly affordable! We didn’t hire extra toilets and for 70 people that was fine. Stables have some glasses etc but we hired our own to avoid having to wash everything up at the end. Only slight niggle is that you have to take your rubbish with you as no bins on site. We took to the Thriplow tip which is pretty close. Highly recommend for a party :
Amazing park . Very nice for running, for walking, go with family and friends, etc. Just in the beginning you can see how green is everything. I went with a friend and we really enjoyed it. I felt the fresh air of the plants, the nature, the environment. I took deep breath all the time I could and the feeling of that was so comfortable. We could see also Highland cattles what was really cool. There are electrified fences so obviously you can't approach very close to them. This country park is highly recommend!
Beautiful woodland with lots to see. The car park isn't huge, however, when I arrived on a fairly busy Sunday there was a couple spaces left. It is great for birdwatching and snapping photographs of landscapes and bugs. They also have the 'Gogs farm shop' just around the corner.
Walk there alot with pooch ..excellent to navigate.beautiful cafe Sunday morning coffee, friendly people. If visit alot I advise annual subscription cheap and a great cause keeping our countryside beautiful for our enjoyment. Brilliantly peaceful just take a book and camera spend a day or more there so relaxing .. thankyou guys appreciate your hard work ..
Lovely Walking spot. Parking is a fixed payment irregardless of how long you stay. Seems best to stay for a while to get the benefit. Nice scenary and dog friendly on the lead.
Beautiful park, great for kids to explore around. Parking is about £4 for a whole day. Quiet place not far from city. Easy to drive to. Nice cafe with contactless payment accepted. Much recommended to visit.
What a beautiful country park. Even in winter there is much to see. It can get a little muddy on some of the tracks but that is to be expected at this time of the year so a pair of wellies would be a good idea. There is wildlife here in abundance and the Highland cattle are beautiful. Parking is cheap and with its 8 miles of tracks and footpaths there are loads of signposts so you won't get lost. Will definitely return here.
Lovely woodland walks and interesting features. The hill fort ring is well defined and easy to walk, and the gardens are full of snowdrops at the moment. All relatively flat and easy to walk. The cows are lovely to see.
We adored this place! So many potential walking trails; a spectacular location with nature galore. The beech avenue was exquisite and the highland cows were also a highlight. There is lots of room for all and space for the kids to run about and burn off energy; picnic areas and a coffee truck for the adults. We arrived via bicycle but the car park is spacious and on a glorious crisp autumnal day although full, the park itself has plenty of space for all.
Great place if you want good walking in a picturesque setting. Very historic, with over 2000 years of human history, including a roman road and it was the site of an iron age fort. Great for kids and dogs! Parking costs £3.
