Went here for the first time in easily 7-8 years. So much more here and far better than I imagined. Arrived at 4pm and did a small loop of the park, explored all the dens other children had built. Boys loved the park too! Will definitely return!
Great country park for some lovely walks, long and short. Good playground for youngsters and nice cafe providing light refreshments that are not overpriced. Be aware that the car park machines do NOT take cash, card payments only.
Entrance to the park by car was straight forward. Parking was a bit expensive but still worth it. Was glad the payment could me made with card. The Cafe, I was so impressed especially with the balcony view over the lake. I could have stayed there for longer. The choice of food wasn't bad either. The park, the lakes and pathways were beautiful as always. It's a real secretly soothing, refreshing environment to be in. So fortunate it's so close to my home.
Winter is our favourite time to go to Milton Country Park! If it's cold enough the lakes freeze, went both days this weekend, Saturday super sunny and frosty and today foogy and moody, very beautiful. Lots of wildlife, squirrels, water birds, swans friendly enough to feed.
My favourite place in all of Cambridge by far! I spent my summers here as a kid and am glad for the great memories of running around all day, building secret bases in the thickets. These days it's more developed around the café area with plenty of seating for picnics or pleasant drinking with friends and relatives but the real experience is wandering around the "pits" and finding more off-the-beaten-path places to idle your time away in good weather.
Wonderful lake! It is good for a short walk with your children. There are no shades in the play area, be prepared during the sunny day!
It's a lovely park that suits all ages. There is a nice cafe and a children's play area at the entrance to the park. Entrance to carpark and the cafe closes at 4pm. A lake with scenic views for walkers.
Despite driving through an unloved trading estate to the entrance this place is a real gem. We'd walked the dog here halfway home on a long car journey and frankly it's likely become a regular stop. Plenty of parking, excellent "Clean" toilet facilities although the hand drier in the men's loo is like a 90 year old sighing over your hands. There are a selection of walks ranging in distance over relatively flat ground which wind around beautiful views of the lakes. There are bike hire facilities, coffee bar well hut, a café and a number of great kids play areas with climbing frames swings and slides. If angling is your thing I spotted 20 or more pitches with secluded views onto the lakes. Playground: Wood post climbing frames Swings Slides Restrooms: Very clean and well stocked. Dog-friendliness: There is a fantastic DOG WASH Picnic area: Benches close to the play areas
Beautiful place for spending time with family members and friends, very good picnic spot as well with facilities available. Really like the lakes and play area for my children.
A nice place to spend the day. The cafe has good coffee and there is a big playground for the kids. It is reasonably well maintained while keeping the raw nature alive
