We have been coming here for over 7 seven years, and we love the facilities for the kids. The toilets/showers etc are exceptionally clean and overall a great place to camp. The staff are also very friendly and always willing to help and go the extra mile, can't wait until next yearService: 5/5
Van was clean and well presented, the staff a put up Christmas decorations which was a nice touch. We are definitely looking at going again next Christmas. The only thing that let it down for me was a group of others staying at the time, but that was not the parks fault. Staff were all very pleasant and seemed happy to be there.
Waldegraves Holiday Park, Situated near the coast of Mersea Island, Absolutely lovely site and amazing staff, immaculate caravan Gold with its own balcony and seating. A lovely welcome pack was present within the caravan including complementary biscuits and tea/coffee, toilet roll and washing up bits. Bedding was lovely and clean, easy to fit, good selection of cooking utensils and microwave/oven. Good WiFi within the caravan. The reception staff were very considerate and humble, bar staff upbeat and friendly. Would definitely recommend the site for anyone wanting a short or long break, camping or caravan and will be returning.
We went for the day to meet our Daughter and family. The newly decorated Granary restaurant was lovely and quite busy. The menu was varied and reasonably priced and the portions very generous. Everywhere was clean and tidy and although early in the season, ready for action. The location, right by the beach, is lovely. A very pleasant day.
This was our second visit, the first was a camping trip in a tent, the site and facilities were in a lovely location overlooking a nice lake and close to beach, washing and toilet facilties very clean and would recommend, sadly one night there was a loud group of campers partying and shouting which was not great. Our second trip was a 2 night half term break in a platinum caravan, which was superb. The restaurant on site is very good value and their breakfasts are fantastic. Would recommend.
This is a lovely campsite with reasonable prices for Touring and also the shop/golf etc and alcoholic drinks in the bar although small soft drinks could be a little cheaper in the bar at £3 when a pint of soft drink is £3.70. The only thing I think could be improved would be a slightly later checkout 11am instead of 10am especially if you are trying to dry out a wet tent before packing it away. Thanks Mark.
