Recently had my Corsa Griffin serviced and 1st mot then a week later went back to have a repair under warranty. Both bookings were seemless, Cheryl was excellent kept me informed and vehicle was ready on both days when promised. Nice site easy to get to with plenty of parking.
I have lost count of the number of times I have emailed and haven't received a reply from the Service Manager at Underwoods Skoda. Ditto phone calls. I always get through to reception without a problem. The fun starts when they try to pass me to the Servicing Department. No one seems keen to pick up the diverted call so I end up leaving my VRN with the receptionist and asking for a call back. But no one calls. It's a level of service that can only get better but if the Manager doesn't seem bothered then I think it's unlikely other staff will be driven to be customer focused. Fancy showroom and great if you're buying a car; not so good on the after sales bit though.
Our Salesman David Peddle couldnt have done more for us, the hand over of our car was excellent connecting the apps for me, going through all the menus in detail & showing every detail of the car. The long wait was worth it, my new Enyaq 80 Sportsline is stunning Thanks again David
Took a recently purchased secondhand vehicle into the dealership for quick inspection. This was mainly to figure out basic problems that I couldn't see without propping up the car. Upon arriving at the multiple brand dealership, it was slightly difficult to know where to go. Parked the car in an area that appeared for vehicles ready for service. Then proceeded to the sales floor. To my surprise there was a queue to see the service reception agent. We had an appointment and arrived on time. I'm not sure what their normal staff levels are, but there was only one agent, and only one visible salesperson. So my first impression was understaffed and overworked. While waiting in the queue, another employee came in and asked if we were all for service. Then proceeded upstairs, stating they couldn't assist. Upon turning over the keys and asking about possible timing, we were told the techs had just gone on lunch. The agent was unaware of what was in the bays or how long it would take. While parking, there was only 1 vehicle parked in any of the technician bays. For a basic visual inspection the £29.99, at the time of this review, it took over two hours. When collecting the car, there was no consultation to the findings. However, there was at least another agent on hand. There was a report that stated the visual issues found. However, there was not any recommendations or offers to correct the issues. In addition, there wasn't an offer to even upgrade the vehicle. In closing, as a first experience with this dealership, I'm not impressed. The inspection was a nice value, and allows more knowledge without going through a full MOT. However the aftercare, regardless of the age, is lacking. As well is the need to have staff available, especially when there are appointments.
Receptionist not polite, twice emphasized that my hire van was taking up space in the car park. Curt attitude, came out feeling undervalued.

I have been a customer of Clacton Underwoods for 6 years and recently part exchanged my car for a newer model. The assistance from Glynn was fantastic but unfortunately the car broke down 24 hours after I collected it. Evidently there is a problem with Corsa and gear boxes! However I have received wonderful help from Jason, who has done a temporary fix until the replacement part arrives.
Terrible experience. Booked a service for today to be collected. Called up out of curiosity to check the timings of collections to be told I had no bookings with them. I even had a confirmation sent reminding me of my service for that exact branch! Terrible customer service. Member on phone couldn’t be any less helpful. I understand it isn’t her fault but to basically be told there’s nothing they can do and I needed to sort an alternative day because I had booked online as if that’s my fault just really didn’t feel acceptable. I’m now left having to sort another day for my service leaving me with another day to take off off work!
Just collected my second car from underwoods! Dominic really is the face of skoda, always smiling and so professional. 100% would recommend
