Great shop and the staff are always willing to help. Bit pricey, but it's a waitrose, so what do you expect. I always enjoy buying myself a bunch of flowers here.
I have been noticing that some of the fruit and vegetables hasn't been up to scratch. Usually I just bin it and say it must have been transported too cold. Yesterday I bought some onions and nectarines. Both were bad. I would have binned it but my husband became angry with me for buying from Waitrose. How much have you binned lately? Why don't you just calculate how much it will cost and throw the money straight in the bin? I defended Waitrose saying that their products are usually very good and their service is excellent. Just to prove my point I took the stuff back. The young man I first spoke to recognised the problem and called another lady. She asked me to show her the products on the shelf. She acknowledged that it was theirs and that she will make a report. She then asked me for me receipt. I told her I paid cash and no longer have it. She told me that without a receipt I am not entitled to a replacement or a refund. I asked about goodwill. She said without a receipt there is nothing she can do! I have been doing all of my shopping at Waitrose fo many years but after today I will be shopping elsewhere. I cannot believe their customer service policy can be this bad. I am very disappointed.
Good selection still a bit pricey, but started up there free coffee and tea which is good, bring your own mug. Update: Prices have got cheaper and they seem to have a lot of reduced these days much better value going more often now.
Getting back to normal now the free coffee is back and the shelves are fuller. Still plenty of offers to be had for card holders including Fish Fridays and the staff as friendly and helpful as ever.
Managed to buy all the items we required. We had a slight problem with the self service checkout, before we had a chance to call a member of staff, one appeared like magic.
Sorry but absolutely disappointed with my visit this afternoon, I was planning on going to the meadows but as my daughter was ill and off school, I decided I needed to be as quick as possible so decided on the Yateley Waitrose. All the yellow peppers that were out weren’t that fresh, bread I wanted to buy was out of date by the following day and this was the same on a number of different breads and crumpets that I picked up, I couldn’t get a later date than the 24th, today being the 22nd! I couldn’t find smashed avocado anywhere, the veggie pie and wellington was the same story as the bread, all going out of date within a few days and nothing else fresher available. The shop was a waste of my time, you expect to pay higher prices but for food that has a shelf life of at least 7 days! I won’t be shopping here again. As if food hasn’t gone up enough! All I can say is check the date on everything you buy to get the best out of your shop and your money!
A cute little Waitrose was slower to re-stock after Christmas but they have stocked tomatoes during the tomato crisis. This is the second Christmas we've found a shortage of vegetables. This store doesn't stock all of Waitrose's specialist gluten-free lines, etc.
Went for a click and collect visit, just ordering some food and pick it up everything went well, just seamless from website to the front door of the chosen store, just follow the instructions and it's a walk in the park thanks.
Super expensive . Everything was Twice the price of any other supermarket. Was a special treat so hopefully will notice the difference in the quality. Staff were amazingly helpful & product knowledgeable and were on every isle to advise again not like any other Supermarket
Nice store, good range of products however it is let down by a lack of data signal and WiFi which make sit frustrating when trying to use their own Waitrose app. I usually have to stand near the exit to review the app and choose vouchers before I can go to the tills. Would be better if they had public WiFi.
