The greeting as we entered the pub was warm, the restaurant was lovely with an open fire. The service was so friendly and the food was delicious. The menu was detailed jn terms of calories and allergies. A great experience.
staff super friendly, service good - aside from fact we had to go get our own flutes for prosecco from the bar as we were left with wine glasses. Ordered the steak, which was cooked to perfection. downside was the chips; they were clearly old and had fully soaked up all the cooking oil making them rock hard; that said we did eat them, but they were a total let down to the rest of the dish & I gave the same feedback on the night.
Was absolutely fabulous. Great atmosphere and the food didn’t disappoint. Despite that being as delicious as ever, the staff really stood out at our visit last night. They really pulled out all the stops to make my sons special birthday just really special! The waitress and two waiters particularly stood out accommodating a request around a kids meal and supporting some sprague birthday requests too. They were helpful, friendly and attentive and were never left for too long and asked often if we had what we needed. Top staff and will certainly be back…as we have been since our very first visit 2 years ago - definitely our go- to venue!
My steak sandwich had the tiniest square of steak. About an inch wide. I took it to the bar and showed the waitress. She agreed it was very poor and would pass it in. Nobody said anything else so I left determined not to return for food. We spent over £100 on lunch. Never again
Had a wake here recently with a buffet. Couldn't have had a more ameniable guy sort everything...Sam I believe was his name. Food was great, everyone enjoyed it, as much as you can enjoy a wake! The sausages with mustard grain were lush! Thanks to all involved
Has a lovely atmosphere with friendly smiley staff. The food is delicious. Our waitress Libby was polite and attentive to our table and we will happily be returning soon!
Our experience was horrendous for the second time in a row. Firstly, and before I get on to the multiple negatives, the young man behind the bar was a pleasure and very helpful. Despite that, he is on his own whilst multiple waitresses sat watching. Food was a one hour wait, we were told 25 minutes. Food was cold. Missing onion rings. Tried to order a pudding three times. No one at bar, third time only the young man so I waited 30 mins. Horrendous service again and food not up to scratch. Avoid at all costs.
Food was reasonably good but have noticed a price hike!!! We had a new member of the team look after us and they did an excellent job. Vince was kind, engaging and so accommodating. So one of the above stars is for VINCE!
Booked a Mother's Day dinner, paid £30 deposit for the pleasure. Shown to our table and then when it came to order was told that no roasts were available apart from Pork Belly. Really should have been told this at the door but fully appreciate there may have been some missing items due to being Mothers Day. The part that really let our visit down was waiting over an hour for our plates to be cleared whilst tables next to our were serviced it was like we weren't there. I had heard good things hence the booking but unfortunately will not be returning.
