Popped in for some essentials the other day and wasn’t sure where some items where , asked a very polite member of staff with a beard Callum he went above and beyond to help , rare these days . Well done Waitrose on employing polite and diligent staff .
Use Waitrose in Oundle twice a week, which is fine. If you arrange to pick a parcel, ordered from John Lewis. Beware of the young lady assistance, made us wait four minutes while she labelled someones dry cleaning. And then not a smile, such a miserable person. Walked from shop, my wife said she’s always like that. Just like to say all other staff are great.
I love Waitrose but their essentials pizza has absolutely no taste ! It’s no wonder my grandkids won’t eat it !
Oundle Waitrose, a modern small to medium sized store. Plenty of parking snd trolley stores. The staff are always very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The store has a deli counter, a bakery, beers, wines and spirits sections. There is a good balance of essential groceries and other Waitrose luxury items. Queues are usually reasonable.
Such a shame....I am a regular Waitrose shopper and have been for many years. After todays debaclenmy son and I attempted to do Xmas food shop only to find XMAS essentials missing from shelves. NO SHERRY TRIFLES....AT ALL ..so disappointed..Usually buy the American cheesecake....NOT TODAY.....IT WAS £12.00.....ITS XMAS ..but I draw the line at being overcharged for essentials or a really short date on the fresh stuff. So much of the chilled and fresh stuff like fresh custards and cheeses ...including some essential vegetables like sprouts had Use By Dates of 24th December 23 just making it difficult to buy most of my usual items. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
