Food was ok, nothing spectacular. Price wasn't shocking, but wasn't great either. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to revisit, but may pop in if I was in the area and was thirsty

What a delightful find. We visited here on our trip to Oundle last week, the first in 20+ years. The Tavern is situated in a lovely position on the Market Place , so you can see the hustle and bustle going on outside. There is seating upstairs, downstairs and in a peaceful courtyard. It is a nice,light airy establishment. We were served by a lovely, friendly lady. The food was superb and very filling, especially my Ploughman's Lunch, which was the biggest I have seen and contained homemade coleslaw, which is always a plus. The lunch contained three types of cheese, slices of apple, pickle, and a huge pickled onion. I followed this with a chocolate sundae. Very good prices and the others in the party were extremely impressed and we can't wait to get back there.
