Visited the cafe at this store today at lunch time. Nothing to show what food they had, menu boards were blank. Little or no food, sandwiches etc on display. We chose a sausage roll and a tuna and cucumber baguette. Baguette looked ok in the wrapper but when opened there was more mayonnaise then tuna or cucumber. I spoke to a member of staff who refunded the item. This used to be a very popular place to get a well cooked and presented lunch. However, now the majority of hot food has been removed from the menu, the choices and quality available are poor. The staff although very helpful are very slow causing long waits to be served. I assume that along with most other supermarkets, Waitrose intend to close their cafes.
I absolutely love the Waitrose Rushden branch. Because it is a big shop, they have a large selection of high quality as you would expect products, especially vegetarian and vegan options which is very important to me. The shop is clean, fresh and airy. The Partners are very helpful, friendly and approachable. The whole experience makes grocery shopping a pleasure. An added bonus is the mini John Lewis inside which stocks a selection of useful items. All in all, a very enjoyable trip every time. Thanks.
Hoping to have the same great breakfast and staff on our last visit....albeit a while ago!nnHowever ...couldn't have a de- caf coffee ...machine not working!nnOrdered scrambled egg...my friend poached egg onntoast ..nWaited 25 mins...nFood looked like it had been thrown on a plate.nStaff off -hand and 1 was rude.nThe fridges had a poor offering of sandwiches etc.nnWaitrose used to be the best place to go ..fornWell presented and tasty food, lovely staff and a buzzing ambience!!nnShame!nnBeing so close to Rushden Lakes it's about time Waitrose stepped up!!nnWe certainly won't be creating a memory as we were doing today..nOf today's experience!!
When I want to treat myself, this is where I go. I wait shop here all the time if it was more local to me in Kettering. I love the choice of good food here, especially fresh food and meat, and cheese. I'm especially partial to their pickled herring!!
Went there on the 6th of May was totally disgusting with the security staff following us around the store from start to finish we was looking at the flowers outside and he was staring out of the window everywhere we went he was there complained to the manager about the embarrassing security guard she said he is doing the job. I have own house and car money in the bank felt like a criminal in shop NEVER GOING BACK TO THE SHOP IF YOU WEAR JEANS AVOID THE PLACE
