I’ve been shopping there for nearly 30 years.nI become disabled few years back so my mobility is a daily problem; the other day 30/04/24 I went over the parking limit of 1h:30 by few minutes I got a ticket for £95.nI called the manager M. and told her about it and to my surprise she was just very unhelpful; so obviously 30 years of shopping there count for nothing !!!nI can’t believe how low waitrose has become now comparing with the old days where they were just fantastic and considerate.
I can’t believe the new so called improved quick check system that has just been installed in this branch.nI watch the manageress on the day it was open for use , standing smiling and delighted with it.nWhat an utter joke!nShe clearly knows nothing about the customer demographics of her store.nBut not surprised there , as she’s always been very condescending.nnThe customers with a quick check handset , now have to queue behind all the normal customers who don’t and won’t use it.nnWe used to have two tills for quick checking handheld devices and there WAS NEVER A PROBLEM OR Q !nThis morning lol after only being installed for less than a week, over three quarters of the new tills are broken.nnUtterly ridiculous! People won’t change over to the quick check handheld devices, which is what Waitrose presumably wants to happen.nCan’t wait for the nightmare on elm street at Christmas!!!
What’s going on?nDon’t appreciate the new self service till system, especially being asked to walk away from the exit to leave the store and being corralled by airport style barriers.nWe were looking for a selection of salamis etc, such a poor choice at the delicatessen counter, perhaps two or three different types, years ago at your Burnt Ash store the choice was amazing.nNot sure if you’re taking yourselves seriously any more.
The availability of products hasn’t been great. I went there to get a roast chicken at the counter at 1:40pm and there’s nothing left. Also, there’s nothing on chilled section either. Before, I can get the hot roast chicken even at 6pm.nOn top of that since they allow cars to park on both side of the road, it’s nightmare to get in and out of the car park.nNo wonder people starts to go elsewhere.
Another terrible shopping experience my last order was lost despite John Lewis assuring me it was delivered, today I check in for collection on arrival when I return to collect I’m told there is no orders with that name, I have to then demand do speak to the manager asking where it’s gone in the last 15 mins for the shop assistant to actually turn round and hand me the package from behind her. Staff on both occasions would rather lie to customers than actually do their jobs terrible service!!!
