The likes of me used to feel I couldn't afford Waitrose! But since COVID I shop here regularly, it's barely anymore expensive than my usual supermarket And much more relaxed, I'm reluctant to say a better quality of customer oooh I just did!!!

Love the staff at Waitrose in Portswood. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Their all lovely but I have three favourites who go the extra mile, Junie baby, she’s always cheerful and never ever in a bad mood, that’s our nickname for her, she knows who we are , Nicki and Zenny are are also just darlings. Nicki always appears to be efficient on the enquiry desk but approachable and friendly. I do hope the management realise how important it is to retain such good staff.nBest wishes G&J xx

The staff here are rude and unreasonable. I was buying a bottle of gin with my wife who was clearly more than 25. She's forgotten her ID. We have photograph of her passport in the phone, and it wasn't accepted. I was told even if she went home I walked out of the store and walked in, I won't be allowed to buy it unless she showed her ID! I mean, my ID showed I'm clearly 30++. All the while they are glaring at me as if I'm a sight for sore eyes. Heaven's sake. I'm just here for a bottle of gin! What's the logic? Rules are rules, but have some common sense!!!!!
