Reviews
I have reviewed this store before but am updating my review.nPositives- reasonable range of produce although does not match that of the Eastbourne storenGood wine selection and knowledgeable partner to advise.nNegatives-parking can be difficult at certain times as the car park is not designated store parking. Manoeuvring a full trolley of shopping can be difficult as the car park is on a camber and many trolleys have wayward wheelsnWhile most of the partners are excellent and helpful one or two are not. It is extremely dispiriting to be rushed through the till by an unhelpful and unsmiling partner who makes you feel inept. I had a large trolley of shopping and she started putting it through at speed even though I had not unloaded the trolley. There was no need for this as I was the only customer at the check out at that point. I was then under pressure to pack up while she looked on unsmiling and other customers came to the checkout. It was an unpleasant experience. One partner engaged a member of the public -clearly a neighbour/acquaintance -in conversation throughout the time she was at the till. The friend stood by me as I packed my shopping and paid. I was worried about the security of my card payment. It is lovely to have a brief chat with a partner as we go through the check-out but unsettling if the partner's friends or family hang around the till area to socialise. It was unprofessional.
Helpful staff, easy to find items. Free parking, accessible and has a toilet. Good range of fish on counter.
A smallish store but plenty of range/choice. The store was spotlessly clean and well stocked. Staff were friendly, and of course the food quality is excellent.
Went prepared to use the in-store coffee machine, as a member, for the first time, only to find it was out of service - not working, awaiting repair or needing a clean!!nOtherwise consistent good quality as always and friendly staff.
Good store. Handy when that side of town. 2 large carparks either side waitross and council car park. I don't like when someone comes up and says use self service checkout. They are easy to see depends on queues.
