Really good Tesco in Hailsham. Smaller than Tesco Extra in Eastbourne, but the selection is great and easily covers our weekly shop. Proper in-store bakery as well which is a big plus. Good location, plenty of parking and the staff are always friendly.
WARNING TO WOMEN: do not shop here. It is NOT safe.nnI was violently threatened in the carpark. In broad daylight, on a busy afternoon while with my baby. I have never been so scared.nnTesco pay lip service to women's safety. They recently made news with positive headlines about the parent/child parking bays. However, when a complaint is raised or a question asked I have been fobbed off with reference numbers.nnThere is no way of phoning the store manager, only endless automated switchboards. Instead the online chat advised me to speak to the duty manager when I'm next in store. I am terrified to ever go there again.nnI'm told an external company mange CCTV on their carpark. Again, no luck contacting them. This is putting barrier after barrier in the way. This is victim blaming. This is wanting women to be silenced.nnYes my voice is small, made ever smaller by the powers that be. However, I hope in posting this review is that even one women is spared what I suffered.nnI warn other women - do not shop here.
To the young man at the Tesco mobile counter Thursday afternoon 4th june.around 2pm. Very helpful and patient sorting the situation I had with my mobile. I am an older person and didn't understand. He was very patient and I thank him very much.
Another entitled person parking in a parent bay with no child so they can go to the cash point despite plenty of regular spaces.
I have never been here and it has not been busy. Always packed with people. Definately skip on pay weekends if possible. But, you can always get what you needs and things are rarely out of stock. Shelves are always full.
