I would like to one day be able to use the scanner without having a 19 item check. It really goes against the idea of saving time. Also this store was not as good on vegan options as I would have liked. Otherwise nice, clean big shop with very polite and friendly staff.
Peter and Elaine duty manager denied my gift card I had been using no problem for 6 months, insisting I had to have it physically on me instead of keying in the number I had stored conveniently on my phone. Through my own investigations I have now worked out how to get a barcode on my phone to avoid carrying the physical card. My feedback would be to not fob off customers if you're not sure on the policy and/or how your own technology works. I look forward to scanning my barcode and not interacting with you in future. Customers having a similar problem, please don't hesitate to contact me directly, I'd be happy to help.
Stopped by this branch today and I can you I was not expressed with the cashier ,she was very nice and chatty with the white customers in front of me ,but when it was me turn all I got was, two waters? I was speechless, no hi,hello , just straight cashed my items and that was it ,I forgot to check her name ,but she was the black cashier on tills after 3pm,don't think I will come back
It's a nice sized supermarket. The staff are trained to within an inch of their lives to be friendly. And yes, you do overhear middle class people talking loudly. Last visit a bloke in red trousers was reciting the sandwich offerings on his mobile to his very choosey wife. The downside is exiting the car park.
Very nice store. Slightly higher 'Waitrose' prices that you come to expect but produce is good quality. Take care in their car park as their moped delivery drivers drive the wrong way around the one way system and generally get in the way. .
This waitrose store is very big inside it was a bit a busy when i went in. I didn't wait to long to be served the shelves where full of food in stock. Clean & tidy too. Also the car park is large too.

Usually a good shopping experience 5 star but today the store was very cold could the heating be increased please? My nose was cold not what you want to experience inside a shop!
I used to enjoy going specially for free coffee and paper. Not clear what you are entitled to now. One day I had a nice free latte from the machine and drank it in the cafe. But last three times the coffee machine was out of milk and it took ages to refill. Then when I went for a sit down in the café I was shooed out, once because they were closing in half an hour and I was a H&S hazard and the second because I hadn't bought the coffee in the café itself, despite there being only one other person in there. This is all so mean and petty and ill judged if they want to encourage customers. Thanks for the response; so I get a free drink from the machine if staff have topped up the milk which seems problematic and then drink it standing in the aisle? It would be so nice to sit in the cafe, have a rest and get warm. I do think you should review the policy and consider giving members a free drink from the cafe as it would encourage us to shop with you more often instead of with rivalsAnd how do you become a 'selected' customer who gets a free paper?
One of the best Waitrose around but BEWAREEEE of the Sunday traffic trying to get out of the carpark! especially when it's sunny!
