The self checkout always requires an assistant to check something which is very annoying and defeats the purpose of self checkout. Also there is one worker who is very very rude in the tone and way she speaks to customers who require her assistance at the self checkout. If it wasn’t a convenient location, I would never shop there again. Do better co-op.
The self-service machines are useless. They never work properly and are always saying 'an assistant is on their way" which is never true. Poor customer experience
Really glad we’ve got this Co Op Food in Beckenham now. Handy for bits and bobs - they have a limited selection of fruit and veg, ready meals, meat and dairy, baked goods, frozen and ambient products as well as newspapers, booze and fresh flowers. The store plays music, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable - they sometimes have excellent discounts too.
Great for when you need something quick and don't want to wait for ages/pay M&S or Waitrose prices. Good selection of meats, pizza and other snacks, and the coffee machine is really handy. Friendly staff members too, who unfortunately have to put-up with the pair of local shoplifters a lot.
Very rude door staff - I was questioned because I had a shopping bag with things in, having previously been to our lovely local sausage/butcher shop, and because I hadn't bought anything, they didn't have what I wanted. The man was rude, blunt and clearly had some kind of agenda. As someone who has been shopping in Beckenham for nearly ten years I will avoid this Co-op and their evidently false 'values' and continue to spend money in M&S, Sainsbury's and our wonderful independent shops.
The guys in this store are so welcoming, always say hello and ask how i am. Im disabled and these guysall of them offer to take my basket and help me shop. Ive never had this service in my life. Ive made friends with these guys,Billy,Ryan,Bev and its like nothing ive experienced before. These guys are absolutely brilliant. Coop should be so proud of all these guys. Many thanks ,Nige
Excellent modern store, recently opened. Slightly cramped layout, and prices are very top end, but exceptionally convenient. Good mini bakery aisle with fresh items.
I decided to try the co-op for one item that I needed - and to avoid the long lines at the nearby Waitrose. As I arrived at the store I noticed two adults - in front of me - walk in without masks, and the security representative at the door didn't say anything to the two. Additionally, the security representative was wearing a loose-fitting mask - but his nose was exposed. I asked if masks are required there - knowing full-well that they are. He said yes, with a bit of an attitude. I also asked him to please pull his mask up over his nose. He didn't appreciate that, and seemed to want to defy my request. I asked him again to please cover his nose. He reluctantly did, and then told me to just go into the store.... I won't be going back - neither during nor post-pandemic. If you care at all about your health, the health of your loved-ones and the inordinate toll the pandemic is having on the NHS staff, shop elsewhere. Don't reward stores that don't care to enforce standards that are meant to support the health, well-being and lives of others - especially during a pandemic.
I like it. Usually well stocked, good offers and other perks for members, incredible opening hours; 6 AM to 11PM. Thank you!
There is always poor selection of fresh bread. Shelfs in shop was today quite empty in lot of sections, poor selection of co op ice creams.
