Was once an incredible supermarket with an outstanding range of high-quality products supported by service from really knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff.nSeems to have been in a complete free-fall for the duration of 2025. Lots of really brilliant staff have gone What happened to Jim at the fish counter?. More importantly for the past six months the fridges and freezers have systematically failed, This is having a significant impact on what you can actually purchase in this store and seems to be attracting no attention from management. The store, its infrastructure and management need urgent attention as it really is getting worse- Waitrose should be embarrassed!nPictures from 14:00 7/9/2025.
Excellent supermarket with an great range of quality product. People discuss the cheapest s/market, I have always for many years been more than satisfied with the quality/value ratio and coupled with knowledgeable and courteous staff. For me unbeatable. Their home delivery option is superb.
Ah, Waitrose Windsor, where shopping isn’t just a chore, it’s a social event for people who own Labradoodles called Percival. I popped in for a few bits and came out questioning my life choices and credit score.nnYou know you’re in trouble when the car park looks like a Range Rover dealership and the queue for the deli counter sounds like the front row at Glyndebourne. I only wanted some cheese, but apparently, I needed a GCSE in French pronunciation just to order it.nnStaff were polite in that “I’ll tolerate you because you’re wearing shoes” sort of way, efficient, but with a glint that says “you’re holding up the rosé line.”nnThe selection, to be fair, is stunning. Everything gleams. The fruit looks like it’s been hand-polished by cherubs. But so do the prices. £6 for hummus that probably has its own backstory and trust fund.nnBy the time I reached the checkout, I was £70 down and still hadn’t actually bought dinner. But I did leave with a newfound sense of class anxiety and an organic candle I definitely didn’t need.nnSo yes, it’s Waitrose, darling. Come for the groceries, stay for the existential crisis and faint smell of artisan focaccia.
During my visit, I encountered a staff member whose behaviour was both rude and ignorant. Their approach was completely inappropriate, making my shopping experience very unpleasant. I believe this kind of conduct falls far short of the standards I expect from Waitrose.nnWhite male, slim build around 50 years of age, with glasses, normally at the self checkouts I asked for availability of a wine and he sighed stating “I should I asked someone else whilst shopping and not left it last minute at the checkout”nnI hope you will look into this matter, as such behaviour can really impact a customer's perception of your brand and this is not the first time in this branch.
After my parents and I took a tour inside Windsor Castle and before our train departure back to London, we went grocery shopping at Waitrose & Partners. It looked really nice and modern like Publix. Even their employees are willing to help out, like when I asked them which aisle has Peperami and they've shown me where it belongs to.
