Traditional hardware store with a massive product range. Trade counter staff are second to none. If you need fork handles, this is the place to get them.

Everybody on the Island knows, try Hurst first #thf. If you live in Newport and can't get to B&Q it's good, plenty of crockery, some active wear, tools etc, etc. Parking at the rear of the shop for customers is rare in Newport, be mindful about parking restrictions though and elderly drivers! You can still buy a handful of nails or bolts, rope and chain by the meter and rip ties enough for an exciting evening indoors 50 Shades of Grey style, if that's your thing.
