Enjoyed my visit this evening, cinema was clean and staff were polite and welcoming. Watched the film in screen 5 which was small but was clean and the seats are really comfy, just wish some people would keep there trainers on because their feet stink! nAlso used the carpark located underneath the cinema and cost me £2.50 for 4 hours which I thought was reasonable, it was quiet on a Saturday evening but it gives people a alternative place to park instead of goose green carpark opposite which was still open when we came out around 2245 It's handy having a cinema close by and is still my number one choice to view new releases.
This cinema is small, compared to others in the area. It was a perfect choice for a Monday night to take the kids. As we knew it wouldn't of been busy. There is a good choice of snack and drinks to choose from. We booked are seats and tickets online. But when we was in the cinema and sitting down. We realised that it wasn't going to be very busy. So we had options to move it we needed to. The overall experience at the Vue cinema in Altrincham was good.
Went to watch Wicked: For Good on the Sunday after it was released, about a week ago. The first 2 minutes they didn't turn off the lights and then throughout the movie the lady two seats to my left had her phone left turned on and on her lap multiple times throughout, not even looking at it. Then another person towards the front of the theatre had their phone on too. My glasses glare when there's lights like this so it was very distracting
Paying for parking when people pay to go to the cinema anyway is ridiculousnnAlso, this has been raised in another review but the seats are absolutely disgusting and very stained. Me and my partner decided to go home upon seeing the where we would be sitting for 3 hours. We mentioned it to the staff on the way out and they were lovely about it and said they’d raise it. Didn’t bother with asking for a refund as we had a voucher for half price, but would be pretty annoyed if we’d paid full price
I have had a horrendous experience on sunday when I went to watch The devil wears Prada 2 at Vue altrincham. The lady manning the snack bar refused to serve me and my friends all brown, with our young kids saying that she was serving the gentlemanwhite behind me. I was surprised as I had not seen anyone there earlier. I apologised and moved aside to let the gentleman come through only to realise he was placing a fresh order and wasn't being served already. And that lady was lying.nThe young lady scanning the tickets saw this and was very apologetic and asked us to go to a different counter to be served.nBut the entire experience, especially in front of kids, has left me and my friends shocked and we felt so humiliated .nVue- I have never had such kind of behaviour ever in this country and would never ever visit again to watch any movie there.nI have left a complaint at your customer care but have not heard back anything.
