Visited this place last week more to get out of the cold than anything but was won over by the charm of the staff and the building and also the informative films and reading material on view. As someone who has read Para Handy over and over again for forty years, it was great to see the exhibit on the puffers and how the combination of railway and David MacBrayne brought the city folk to the islands and the islanders to the city. Contrary to a previous review, I found the two girls on duty most informative and friendly. The building seems to be a relic from fairground days and it is great that it has found a new and useful purpose.

Called in to see the Christmas Market and was not disappointed... There wasn't many stalls but the range of goods was excellent. The Father Christmas was the best I have ever seen, traditional St Nicholas, not the Coca Cola version. The centre itself is free and a great place to visit if you go, very interesting, you can also sit and have a cuppa. We'll worth popping in if you go to Rothesay.

This is one of the best TI's I've ever visited!! Staff went out of their way to assist and accommodate us. So appreciated!

I remember this place as a kid when it was used for theatre, amusements and dodgems lol. Now the tourist information center with small exhibition on Rothesay and the Isle of Bute.

Also doubles as the local cinema. Good to see such an historical place put to a positive use.

Lovely island and locals will definitely be visiting here again. Best time to visit between April and September.
