Really friendly marina .Haven't docked here for years .Last time i came from largs and its a beautiful view,ocean and the sealife is gorgeous. Dolphin's and seals etc and the different colours of those beautiful houses that adorn the marina are so wholesome. This is my favourite place to be and given the chance I'd be back like a shot .So anyone lucky enough that gets to visit,stay,dock or even just view this marina will be making beautiful memories. Could not recommend more highly.

What makes rothesay is the people you will always get a warm welcome been going to rothesay for over 30 years i have got to know some of the best people on the planet The harbour is run very smoothly and you will have a fantastic time  on this wonderful island

Well sheltered haven, close to Rothesay town, and its services.  Reasonable overnight fee.  Bute Berthing Company has limited business hours, though out-of-hours contact is feasible to a mobile number. Arriving towards dusk, we were directed to moor up to a pontoon finger that offered zero security, with open access to the streets of Rothesay town.  Toilets & showers are not marina-style.  They are public facilities, LOCKED for many hours of the 24!  They were locked upon our arrival, and were still locked up when we departed around 07.00 hours.  This practice necessitates sewage pollution in the harbour waters. On departure, we were prevented from leaving the harbour by 3 red traffic lights, though the harbour entrance was wholly clear of traffic.  We circled twice, then sounded our fog horn, but with no effect.  Finally we called the harbourmaster's office by VHF radio.  Oh, sorry, sorry.  We'll change the lights to green.  !!

Not a proper marina in comparison with others...toilets and showers across ferry loading dock where you have to pay for a shower and the toilet very inconvenient....!!! Not very private, nor clean. A must if you want to avoid a storm, not if you have a choice...keep on sailing.

Nice place for an overnight stop. Go into the inner harbour for less rocking when the ferries come in  and out. Electricity included in berthing fee
