It can be a nightmare because of very limited space one always have to go few rounds trying to get parking space. I have witnessed people having road rage due to being impatient waiting. It is the closest if you wanna do shopping in the Colchester town centre so it is convenient provided you get parking space. It is busy from morning till late. It is still fairly reasonable prize wise considering the location.
Not many places available, You're more likely to get a ticket even if you pay for it. Typical Colchester, it's income is parking tickets and bus lane traps.
NO ENTRY FROM VINEYARD STREET! I never managed to get into the car park. I've never been to it before and don't live in Colchester. Followed Google maps directions, drove into Vineyard Street, off Queen Street - only to be greeted with a dead end and bollards blocking entry to the car park. I guess the entrance is on the other side but I had no time to investigate. Rubbish directions from Google maps.
Went to Colchester on a shopping trip. Found the vineyard on Google maps. It was easy enough to find it was quite busy. It's quite cheap for parking in Colchester. It's easy to get to the town centre and the Hoy Street. It's a lovely little walk. I finally had a great time in Colchester
The most convenient one if heading to town. But will almost never be able to find a space due to the limited spots available.
