My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean with an excellent bathroom. The hotel although a short distance from the city centre has a regular bus service which had us in Union street in a few minutes. An evening meal in the hotel was good pub grub both tasty and well presented. Breakfast was compact, tasty and hot. I loved the small tea pots that you could fill yourself giving 2 good cups. Staff were always friendly and helpful. A member of bar staff assisted us in sorting out the mess we had made of ordering food online. On my second morning I attended the gym and swimming pool which again was a good experience. A well provided gym with friendly staff. Pool/spa facilities were excellent. We are already planning another trip to this City and hotel.
We really enjoyed our break in the village Aberdeen. Very clean room, basic but well decorated, and we had all what we needed for a night away. Swimming facilities were clean and well maintained. Food was OK and good choice at breakfast. Would come back.Rooms: 4/5
Lovely hotel, clean rooms friendly staff, excellent food. Enjoyed the pool. Would definitely go back. A bit further out than I thought but very relaxing.Rooms: 5/5
31st of December and no notification whatsoever that there would be no room service or restaurant access whatsoever tonight due a function. This after driving for hours from down south. Really shabby treatment and a weak management decision. There are quite a few overnight guests extremely unhappy. Also no notification either when we checked in that the bar was entirely unavailable until it became clear that this didn’t apply to paying guest but only after a tense discussion with reception. Volte face. Eventually managed to get some relief on the food front -but other guests still fuming. Really guys this is NOT how you run a hotel. One star as zero stars not an option. And no offer to refund part of the stay either. That is utterly disgraceful and frankly a de facto misrepresentation of the services being paid for. If you worked for me you would be fired.
The hotel itself is lovely. A bit out of the way tho. We were attending a gig at the conference centre and it was about a 10 minute drive away. The only gripe we had was the room was quite cold when we went in and dispute turning the temperature up on the thermostat, it stayed cold. We did ask at reception if they could get someone to check it but unsure if anybody did as we went out. The room was still cold when we got back in later that night.
Stayed here for 6 nights in the 2nd floor room above the bar. Overall a very basic business hotel. Pros: -Great water pressure from the shower -Comfy beds -Abundance of parking spots -Easy check-in and out process -Conveniently located starbucks at the lobby Cons: -Bad sound proofing. Could hear the live band playing in the bar below me until 11pm, and the constant service door opening and closing -Couldn't order room service because restaurant was short on staff to answer phone calls -Horrendous restaurant food only tried a salad and it scarred me
Rooms are great and hotel in general is great but give the party nights a miss. Food shocking, cold, turkey inedible, only nice thing on plate was the 1 carrot and pudding was ok. Service was awful, bar service was awful, dj was awful and room was cramped. Breakfast was awful, grey eggs..rock hard bacon, half empty on everything, no full Scottish ingredients, saving grace is there is a starbucks on site. Would stay again room only but defo not party nights
Rooms are nice, however I was woken at 8.00 to the sound of banging techno coming from the gym, and the cooked breakfast was absolutely rank.Rooms: 4/5
Overall good clean hotel, food was nice but not filling sizes, staff was lovely, hotel showers were not very hotwarm at a pushRooms: 3/5
Remote place, county side view. Nice rooms, gym and pool available. Good place for breakfast and dinner. Nearby activities: Apart from offices is nothing in the area. No shops. Food & drinks: Good food.
