Gym/Health Club - Great Set Up/Facilities, Terrible Customer Service

We got married here in Summer 2016 which was great and we submitted a fantastic review for the service and the staff. Unfortunately, our experience with The Gym/Health Club and their staff was completely the opposite.
We had a complimentary membership following the wedding for 3 months and there were issues from the start. We had a minor induction and from there I had an issue with using the machines as someone had locked a programme to my account which limited what I could do and also my wife was not issued with a card. We asked for help at the gym reception with these things every time we went in and also emailed the coordinator. After 4 weeks (A third of the way into the complimentary membership) it wasn't sorted and we had received 1 email from the coordinator stating that ‘new memberships can take a while to settle in’. I had already had a month in which I couldn't use any machines and my wife was still getting questioned every time she wanted to use the facilities as she did not have a card. By the 8th week (2 thirds of the way into the complimentary membership) my wife just got her card but my issues were still not sorted despite continued request so I contacted My Wellness/TechnoGym myself who guided me through setting up a new account and linking it myself. So finally I had 1 months worth from the 3 where I could actually work out.

Following this, our complimentary membership was due to expire on Jan 10th, I made enquiries several times at the reception desk about paying to join permanently as the facilities are really good. Each time I was told to email the coordinator. I emailed her once in December and once in the first week in January asking if we could sign up, but never received a response. I am not sure if they want or need the business but we are now looking at the alternative of joining Clifford’s just up the road, the cost is a third of the price and I am told the facilities are just as good if not better. We have an induction booked there which was painless to organize compared to what I have written above.
