DPAS

The Village Dental Practice requires its adult patients to register on a monthly payment plan called DPAS
Children (under 18 years old) currently receive free treatment on the NHS

There are 2 versions of the scheme that patients can choose to join:

DPAS Essentials
DPAS Care

Essentials offers you:
Routine and preventive dental care from your dentist

• dental examinations (up to the maximum detailed in your contract -this is usually two examinations per year).

• x-rays
• scaling and polishing or other hygiene treatment (up to the maximum detailed in your contract).

• preventive dental advice.

• no assessment appointment required.

DPAS Essentials does not cover the following:

• the costs of any restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist).
• laboratory fees/prescriptions.
• any treatment specified as excluded by the dentist in your contract.
• referral to a specialist and specialist treatment.
• orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment.




DPAS Care offers you:
Routine and preventive dental care from your dentist

• examinations.
• x-rays.
• clinically necessary fillings.

• hygiene treatment (including scale and polishes).

• preventive dental advice and therapy.
• routine extractions.

Major restorative care from your dentist

• periodontal (gum) treatment.
• crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)..
• root fillings..
DPAS Care does not cover the following:

• laboratory fees/prescriptions.
• any treatment specified as excluded by the dentist in your contract.
• referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
• treatment carried out anywhere other than at your registered dentist except when covered under your Supplementary Insurance
• orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment.
