Did the Villa Park stadium tour on the Sunday before Villa v Liverpool, the last home game of the 23/24 season. Great tour albeit we had to do it backwards due to kit man logistics, so did the changing rooms and pitch first, followed by the history of the club. Kids loved it, but I got my wrists slapped for touching the first blade of grass by the sidelines of the pitch.
Traditional stadium, and you can feel the history on the terraces. Although quite tired in places, and compared to modern stadoums, needs development. We went to see the Foo Fighters, and it was a fantastic evening.
Villa Park is an old fashioned stadium. However, the facilities are up to date & there are plenty of places to get food & drink. We were right near the back of the Holte end. It was a good view but the steps up were quite steep for anyone a bit unsteady on their feet or who doesn't like heights. It was very easy to gain entry & also exit the stadium. We went to see the Foo Fighters & they & the atmosphere were amazing !
I had an amazing experience here regardless of the final score, it was a match against Chelsea that ended on a 2-2 draw. Villa went up with 2 goals ahead in the first half and just for Chelsea to come back on the second half with two goals..The atmosphere was electrifying and I'll definitely be back here again and again.
I am giving this 5 stars for the concert and friendly staff. I had attended for Foo Fighters concert with my partner, arrived at hospitality entrance and as we didn't have a bag we didn't get searched or have tickets scanned, was told prior it was a smart casual dress code for the hospitality ticket holders staff had stated no ripped jeans or sports running shoes, or football tops but we had seen people attend in these items of clothing which made me feel i could of dressed abit more comfortable/ Casual. Then we asked staff what was included in the hospitality package and was asked to talk to their manager which they pointed over too but they gave the answer of your ticket is correct you are in the right location but need to wait, so we waited and was left confused, upon entering the hospitality lounge we were greeted by much more helpful staff, we were then confused by the setup at first as it said food was included for an informal dining experience but it didn't have anywhere to explain it would be small tray size portions and that you could have as much food as you wanted and not just the one portion each we initially thought it included this information could of easily been provided on the websites ticket package information but wasn't. The seating area in the stand was confusing as it was only labelled by numbers and a sign at the very top of the stand area saying what block area it was and the seating steward just looked at our ticket and pointed to the stairway behind him and said that way, we had a very good view of the bands playing, toilets in the block had water pressure run low through the night so you had points where you struggled to wash your hands in all toilet locations apart from the lounge toilets. The exit from the venue was a bit crowded on the roads and pathways they had given access too, could of done with blocking off a couple more streets in the area tbh as it did take about 40 minutes to get out of a car park. All in all a fantastic night.
Villa Park stadium offers a lively ambiance, contributing to an enjoyable experience for spectators. Although the catering service can be slow at times, it doesn't detract significantly from the overall enjoyment. The visitor environment is decent, making it a suitable option for attending events.
My visit to Villa Park for the game against Manchester United was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I stepped into the stadium, I was immersed in the electric atmosphere and palpable excitement. The facilities were top-notch, with comfortable seating and excellent views of the pitch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was enjoyable. The game itself was thrilling, with both teams displaying skill and determination on the field. The passion of the fans was contagious, making the experience even more unforgettable. The food and beverage options were varied and delicious, providing the perfect fuel for cheering on my team.
Great concert but poor acoustics not sure if that's down to the venue or the band ,and the venue is really bad for food and drink huge ques to get a drink and poorly organised so people just pushing in and a bit of a free for all.
My son's first visit to Villa Park, and what a day. Not only one of the best atmospheres at any ground in the PL, but friendly staff, well organised and a family fun area. Plus, they're a brilliant football team, which I've supported for over 40 years!
Great facility's with safe parking locally for a charge Food inside and out with activities on match days to entertain, before the match.
