Stunning venue - we hadn’t been since the commonwealth games but managed to visit today for a youth meeting. It’s great to see such excellent facilities being used by young people from our city and beyond as part of the legacy of the games. The site itself is beautifully maintained - there was some work and fencing around the exterior but inside is immaculate - the facilities are world class. Parking was free and easy to find a space, toilets clean and plentiful, small cafe available with affordable food. I just wish there were more events to go and see
Nice stadium with good facilities, clean and modern , only down side was poor organisation of parking for athletics competition we attended.
Just wow!!! Fantastic venue for the Commonwealth Games athletics. Extremely well organised queues both to get in and for shuttle buses back to the city centre. The new stand is wonderful, even the toilets are good! Special mention to the DJ doing the ‘queue disco’ - great atmosphere even when queuing for a bus in 25 degree heat!
Came for commonwealth games opening ceremony . What a show! Great performance at a great venue. Looks like facilities upgraded. Found navigating around site straight forward, and the views from where we seated allowed us a good view of the show on stage and inside the centre of the stadium.
Went to five athletics sessions here at the commonwealth games. Stadium is great, I had different seats each time and always a good view. Stewards were helpful and friendly. Food stalls were lacklustre and queues too much. The arrangements to get to and from the stadium were irksome and slow. But all in all well done Birmingham
Great experience. Everything exceptionally well organised and laid out. Commonwealth Organisers have done a good job here. Plenty of open areas, great food selection, plenty of volunteer helpers and highly efficient shuttle bus service to and from. Oh and the competitions were pretty good too!!
Absolutely amazing venue, great buzz from huge crowd thanks to the additional seating for Commonwealth Games 2022. All the events ran on time and well organised. Ve ye had additional toilets due to Games, and additional food outlets. Food and drink was expensive and not worth the money. Overall though had a fabulous time at the event. Hope it gets to host more events of this type in future - it deserves to!
Very exciting to see the facilities Birmingham City University are building to teach the next generation of Sport Science students.
Visited several times during the course of the Commonwealth Games. Each time I was in the temporary South stand. Seating was comfortable and while the stand was uncovered the excellent weather meant this was not an issue. Wide variety of food and beverage vendors available. Pricing was on the high side but not totally surprising. Volunteers were friendly and welcoming. Airport style security was in place at the time but it was quick and efficient
Came for the Commonwealth Games 2022. The Stadium has just been refurbished for the games and is in amazing condition. The atmosphere at this venue was amazing. I will love to go back to another events once the games is over.
