Not been there for a long time, due to mainly serious health issues. Thankfully on the mend now. I thought it was high time I socialised again. So I am going to pluck up the courage and go. The reviews are pretty good which is heartening. Of course you always get one end with a one word review of S**TE. Bet it took you a long time to think that one up, Mr Dolan. Still, back to reception class on Monday courage and go

Traditional warm comfortable pub, good beer, friendly staff. OK for a pint or two. Sadly this pub is now closed, good luck to the former mine hosts.

All the staff are really friendly. I think though maybe give them a bit longer before it gets a bad review I have gave them some advice to go Facebook to advertise what they have on or special offers on drinks . They leave there motorbikes outside which might put people off bit they are young and they don't know the area. My aunt is 80 and she was a bit undecided if to go. It was OK but my aunt said the toilets was dirty around the rim and no toilet paper and the tables not cleaned right and no beer mats. But that don't put me off take tissues out and after spending 109 days in hospital due to covid I was more then ready ha ha. Its a few wks now but my aunt also said the bloke who runs it was led down on seats and the girl was on her phone so that don't make a good impression when they only just started running it. I'll be bk in they have offers on yager sambucca so give it a try it's not the ritz but that's what we don't want. Need to relax and get bk to socialising and enjoying each others company again .

Quick drop in on a 10 mile hike. Through Barrowford, Higham, ightenhill and culminating in Nelson Well kept cold lager at a fair price

Pleasant enough, but the cut-price funeral leaflets on the tables are a bit of a dampener! I may be knocking on a bit but there is no need to be reminded...

Made to feel welcome, all staff wearing correct ppe and working hard in these unprecedented times

Nice cheap beer sports on the TV what more can you ask for
